Yaletown Massage Therapy is an established clinic in the heart of Yaletown, providing quality registered massage therapy since 1999.

Story

We are a group of eight RMTs who believe in a holistic approach and the importance of effective, responsible healthcare. We all share similarities in our approach to assessment, treatment and homecare exercises, but we each also bring a unique point of view and experiences to the massage therapy table.

Generally, we all use techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point release, passive stretching, and unwinding to encourage recovery. These techniques are commonly used amongst RMT’s to get positive and long lasting results. Other more specific techniques that we provide include craniosacral massage and visceral manipulation to aid in body recovery. There are many instances where by the RMT may use either of these techniques to further encourage natural healing at a deeper level without the application of deep pressure.

What an incredible first experience I have to say. Once I found parking and walked to the building, the front entrance was very nicely constructed and easy to see. The address painted in huge numbers on the inside of the cove, so it's hard to miss. The instructions to get in we're clearly labeled on the buzzer and once followed I was let in right away. I've had two treatments with two people here and I have to say that both were great experiences, professional and attended to my pain needs once properly assessed. I left feeling happy and my symptoms relieved after a solid 1 hour massage. I would highly recommend checking out Wendeanna and Liz! Thank you for the great experience.
I have seen Wendeanna for treatments the last couple of years, and she is always super friendly and wanting to know how she can help make me feel better! She’s also given me tips on things to try/change to help alleviate the pain I’ve been experiencing. It’s been super helpful! The clinic is quaint and has a great atmosphere and aesthetic.
I had an appointment today which I received text confirmation 3 hours prior, I arrived on time and tried to buzz in for 5min with nobody answering the buzzer. Tried to call and it went to voice mail. I didn’t know if the clinic was CLOSED or the therapist simply forgot the appointment, there was no communication! Follow up- The therapist called me 20min into the appointment time asking if I were on way, I told her I was there but I couldn’t get in and had already left. She said they would investigate the situation. I received another phone call from the clinic owner 2 hours later and I was blamed for “not trying to get into the building” she said the gate was not lockedand that I would be charged for the treatment which I didn’t receive. As a customer I arrived on time, when I saw a closed gate with buzzer numbers outside I buzzed, multiple times, when it was not answered I tried to call, multiple times. I was outside the building for 10min trying to get in. If the manager had apologized and been polite, then I would have been more willing to communicate more, but instead she was just throwing her anger at me and didn’t care for a potential negative review. The business should do better than this!
I would highly recommend Wendeanna to anyone seeking an intuitive blend of therapeutic & relaxation treatment. She is kind, attentive, and compassionate; always looking to truly understand her patient’s needs for every session. She’s given me one of my favourite lower-leg treatments to date, and I was honestly a bit shocked at how accurately she was able to address my concern with only the poor & limited description that I provided! After spending months feeling like I needed someone just to peel & lift my calf muscles right off the bone, I walked out of Wendeanna’s treatment room as if I was walking on air. She was a pleasure to chat with during our session as well with a great playlist to boot!, and I am looking forward to booking with her again!
YMT has a great vibe and I always look forward to my next appointment. Wendeanna Armbruster stands out as the best from the many great practitioners. She is an experienced and knowledgeable RMT who gives extra attention to my specific locations of strain. As a Rope Access Technician and adventure sports "nut", keeping my health in balance is a big job and Wendeanna is a valuable resource to me. What makes a session even better is that she is very personable and always ensures that I am totally comfortable. Booking my next appointment now!
I went there for the tightness in my shoulder, glutes and quads. I thought It would be relaxed with $135. HOWEVER, I left the place as I entered. NOTHING CHANGED, STILL STIFF AND TIGHT. The massage therapist – Armbruster spent 15 mins on the questionnaire and even finished the session 5 mins earlier. 20 mins were just gone and I haven’t received the treatment I asked for. Also, I emphasized THREE times that my body requires high pressure but it was not strong enough, plus she skipped massaging my triceps and said “didn’t have time”. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
I've been coming here for a few months to treat back and shoulder stiffness. Wendeanna Armbruster is the only RMT from whom I received treatment, and she is extremely professional, knowledgeable, attentive to my needs, and has pleasant demeanour.
I literally got one of the best massages of my life with Travis! 34 weeks pregnant and been suffering from back pain after my accident which happened 3 weeks ago. My body felt much better right after the treatment.

I've been seeing Wendeanna for massage treatment for about a year now and it's always a great experience! The treatment itself is so helpful, and she's very knowledgeable and happy to help with suggestions for additional exercises and stretches to do outside of the session. I highly recommend her!
