Xtend Barre incorporates elements of dance, ballet, and Pilates to create an adrenaline-fueled workout that strengthens, lengthens, and chisels the body. Each class features an elegant yet energetic combination of movements that enhance flexibility, improve balance, and challenge the core. Challenging and efficient workout! I met Jeanette, the owner of the studio a couple of years ago through some babywearing barre classes she was running...which evolved into her starting the first Xtend Barre franchise in Canada. The studio is beautiful, conveniently located with lots of parking and the classes are an awesome workout. As a busy working mom of 2, this is my favorite workout because I feel as though I get a great full body workout in an hour class. I've tried some of the varied class types too and always found them challenging. I have no dance background and still really enjoy the classes. Highly recommend Xtend Barre!

I finally tried out barre for the first time after several recommendations from my friends, and I must say I absolutely love it. The instructors at Xtend Barre are very knowledgeable and provide several variations for people to try if they aren’t ready to try the full exercise yet or have an injury to accommodate. I also find the instructors to be very approachable and kind which helps facilitate a positive and safe environment for everyone. The instructors are also good about correcting positions for safety and injury prevention and to ensure we are getting the most out of the class. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend Xtend Barre to my family and friends!

What a find!!! This studio offers classes that truly use fundamental ballet movements and technique while making the workout completely achievable for anyone who has not had ballet training before. More than this, however, Jeannette and her staff are SO FRIENDLY!! It is refreshing to walk into a business where everyone smiles and says hello - it makes you want to be there. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a great workout in a great environment. Way to go, Xtend Edmonton...keep up the great work!! :)

I have had 3 different instructors and each one has not only been strong in their determination to ensure you're pushed to your limits, but encouraging the entire time. I’ve done Barre and Suspension, and both really work your core, hips and lower body. Suspension does a lot of work upper body work as well. I run - and I find barre to be a very good strength training course. It’s a great location, very flexible schedule for many work-schedules, and all in is a great experience. Highly recommend!

By far the best barre studio I've tried!! From start to finish, it's a great experience. The studio is beautiful - bright and clean, pretty, and spacious. The front desk staff always greet you with a smile and make an effort to remember your name and get to know you. I have tried nearly all of the instructors and their classes, and I have felt challenged in all of them! What's great is that you can make the class as hard or easy as you want, thanks to instructor-given modifications or challenges. There are many different types of classes to choose from which keeps the variety if you go often. The signature Xtend Barre class has a lot of focus on ballet (surprisingly unlike many other barre studios) as well as lots of pulses and reps which will make those muscles tremble! Can't say enough great things about the studio and its staff, they are so supportive and encouraging! Thank you, ladies.
