World Waterpark at West Edmonton Mall is an incredible indoor water attraction, perfect for families, thrill-seekers, and anyone looking to have a fun-filled day. The park features a massive wave pool—the largest indoor one in the world—along with a great variety of water slides, from gentle ones for kids to high-adrenaline slides for adventure lovers.nnThe park is well-maintained, and the water temperature is comfortable, making it enjoyable even in colder months. There are plenty of seating areas, cabana rentals for added comfort, and food options available inside. However, it can get quite crowded on weekends and holidays, so visiting on a weekday might be a better option for a more relaxed experience.nnOverall, it’s a fantastic place for all ages, offering a mix of excitement and relaxation. Highly recommended for anyone visiting West Edmonton Mall!
The best is to purchase the tickets online, will save you time when you arrive, the temperature of the pools was great, very clean, food is not that great but it's cheap, lots of staff and different areas for all ages. Overall, my kids and I loved it. I will come back for sure. It's perfect to skip the winter for one day.
A good place to relax, especially if you like slides. A very large selection of slides. But there is no place to go for a quiet swim or use the hydromassage.nRenting clothes lockers is quite expensive. There are no hair dryers in the family locker room. And there are no private or semi-private showers at all.nIt is quite dirty in some places.nIt's a little unclear about the single tubes, at first they were paid during the day, in the evening a bunch of free tubes of a different color appeared. Double and triple tubes are available. There is also a lack of an active screen with the schedule of the slides, because it is not always clear. I can't imagine what it would be like on weekends, because I was there on a weekday.
Rented a cabana, not as useful on a weekday but still worth it at the discounted price. Also bought the grazing boxes, great food. May make this a yearly tradition.
Ask me last time and I would have said 5 stars. That was on a school day Oct 31, 2023nAttending Jan 2 school holiday of this year was much different. We knew to arrive before opening to line up so were some of the first in but didn’t know to rent a tube right away. Out of luck for the rest of the day. This wouldn’t be a problem if the slides requiring tubes had enough to go around, but they don’t. This is evidently and intentional choice by the pool.nI don’t know what the capacity limit is but I believe it was overcrowded yesterday to the point of being not just inconvenient, but possibly unsafe. The wave pool was very full and I saw two people with bloody noses.nPerhaps this is why the entire pool had to be cleared TWICE within a few hours. Or was someone pooping?? Either way, it took 30-40 min each time to resanitize which adds up to quite a bit of lost value given that the slides had huge wait times prior to this and once everyone was out of the pool waiting for the cleaning it was ridiculous for the slides. So we just stood and waited.nSuggestions for the company - please make tubes available for all especially since they are required for some of the attractions, not just an extra to use in the pool - we are certainly paying enough to be there. One park we attend has a very nice policy - be actively using a tube or place it in the communal pile. Staff continually walk the lounge areas and confiscate any tubes being hoarded and return them to the communal pile and guess what - everyone gets to play!nKudos to the lifeguards who had their hands full and still seemed to have a lovely attitude.
