I Had a claim in 2013, and WorkSafeBC handled it great. They allowed me an extra month to get back to work, so that I could focus on physical rehab & rebuild my muscles to where they were before the incident. Calling in to make a phone claim was about a 6 minute wait hold, and we spent 40 minutes over the phone. Never felt pressured or rushed or interrogated.
The only reason for a loss of one star is the turn around time. It's a week+ for them the get back to you sometimes, especially when making a new claim. Also, they only allow you to visit one practitioner for the duration of your injury. A multifaceted approach would result in a quicker turnaround time to get someone back to work.
