Top notch random find wandering around the area on an overnight visit. Excellent sculpture garden! Very large and impressive playground area with separate 5/under play area on same groundscape. Great walk paths with beware of disc golfers signs present. Ample free parking on paved lot.
Gorgeous and fun, especially for frisbee golf players. The Woodlands park is amazing, I go here nearly everyday for a walk and Pokemon Go. They added new art to the front entrance now that adds to the beauty of this place. The entire park is maintained well, including the children's play area. It's nice and fenced in so your kid remains safe. There are many picnic benches, but if you want to eat on the grass, all the trees provide shade too.
I came upon this place accidentally, and it turned out to be a great place to enjoy some ice cream during a rainstorm. The Perrysburg sculpture walk on site also makes this a great park for art lovers! However, it was mentioned that the art will be traded out sometime in August to make room for new pieces. There's also a nice playground for the children, several parking sections spread throughout, nice large areas for ball, frisbee, picnics and the like! There's a Japanese garden on one side of the park and there is what the city calls the Johnny Appleseed tree grove which was planted about 20 years ago. The walking path is made of crushed stone as opposed to concrete or asphalt, and I find that much easier on my knees to walk. I will definitely be returning to enjoy everything this park has to offer once the humidity disappears.
I love this art park. Really did a great job. It would be awesome to have parks like this in places such as Toledo Metro Parks. The residence and parks commission care about their home.
Beautiful open space for various activates like jogging and disk-golf. There is also a community funded playground for kids called Fort Imagination. Great place for workouts, jogging and letting your kids play around in the play area. They have a beautiful sculpture walk on one side now.
Very nice green 18 hole disc golf. Mainly open shots, and not difficult. Beautiful park. Good place for beginners and anyone looking to play.
Beautiful park. Extremely well kept up. Very nice tables, benches, porch swings, etc. Giant playground for kids, with a separate fenced off smaller play area and playscapes for younger kids/toddlers. Very nice 18 hole disc golf course. All around wonderful experience at this park.
We had a wonderful first birthday party for our grandson here. It was super clean and our shelter house was the perfect size for our group. The restrooms were so clean. It is wonderful that you can reserve/pay for this as my daughter did and when she arrived there was an entire baby shower set up in the shelter house. They were rude and threw out some expletives but our daughter was able to direct them to the other shelter that wasn't rented. We will return for other parties for sure!! Playground: Plenty of room and activities for the kids Restrooms: So clean! Picnic area: Quite a few tables for picnics!
Frisbee golf, great place for the kids, interesting atr all around
This is such a great little park. The sculptures are awesome to look at as you walk around the path. We love coming here for a quick evening walk. The path is only a mile, but you can go around multiple times. The only thing is that there are SO MANY squirrels! Playground: One of the best playgrounds in the area. It's a fort! Restrooms: Disgusting during the summer and closed in the winter but there is a port-a-potty available. Picnic area: So many awesome picnic tables! It's a great place to picnic!
