Woodbine Glass Museum & Gift

Absolutely fascinating and so much more than expected given the modest building and signage...Don't let the size fool you. If each piece were given it's own display shelf you could fill a Wal-Mart with the collection. I thought he said there are over 4000 pieces in the museum portion. There is also a gift shop out front that sells various glass items. I would suggest stopping if you are NOT in a rush and let the owner whose name I forget tell you the history of the pieces. They are all arranged by color family so it makes a very impressive site upon entry. Another unique character and stop along the roads of the good ole USA. There was an admission fee of $4 I think

Quite an impressive and varied collection of art glass spanning over a century. The owner is quite personable and knowledgable about the techniques used.

Nice and friendly owner. Small but quaint and lots of items choose from! Have to visit this place. It's a must when you visit Galena.

You need ,to be a glass collector to appreciate the museum.

Must be a piece of glass working the phones because the never pick up. Unreal!
