I used to live down the street, so this was my spot back in the day 20yrs ago, lol. Since then, ownership and management has changed a few times and some of the outstanding things about them has changed, like they used to have HUGE portions with HUGE chicken fingers. Nowadays this is still a solid Chinese food spot, the dine in area has been renovated very nicely, but it’s no longer the A+++ spot it used to be. Solid B these days!
Terrible place nowadays. Found this nasty looking thing in my rice. Highly recommend checking your food before leaving their premises
Was in town briefly, and since I tried this place before, I decided to go back. I remember the egg rolls being so good. But not this time, we ordered over the phone like laat time but this time we waited almost half an hour because they didn't start until we arrived. Next time I'm in town, I won't be returning. I dont know if the cooks/workers/management has changed, but i 6 a different experience than i received the year prior.
Awesome food!!! Just started getting takeout here a few weeks ago. Looks very clean inside. The portions are huge for a pretty normal priced chinese food. The chicken is actual chicken- not the sludge you get from other chinese food restaurants. The food seems to be very fresh and well made. The portions might look small when you get it, but once you dig in, the stuff is tightly packed in there. My friend and I couldn't even eat through half of our order. Delicious!!
I've been to many Chinese restaurants that are okay. I was pleasantly surprised by the Wong Wok. I ordered Hunan Beef. I hadn't found a place that knows how to make it properly. Wong Wok made it perfectly mouth-watering. The scallops were so tender, and juicy. My mom ordered chicken with broccoli and the chicken lo mein. It was her first time eating here, and she was more than happy. She told me that her friends always mention how great a restaurant it is. Now, she can relate! We both had enough food for 4 meals. You have to try this place. Wheelchair accessibility: The entryway can accommodate for wheelchair use.
Today is the last day buying in there. the Chinese lady was giving me attitude, cause I bought a guy asked me for $1.50 to complete his order the only thing he wanted was a small rice so I told get some chicken wings and a soda too I’ll pay for it so I ended up buying his order so I told the Chinese lady I’m going to pay both orders together and she gave me an attitude to pay for his first. don’t know what hell happened to that lady but this was definitely the last time I’m spending a dime in that place. Parking: There’s never parking cause they slow getting your order ready the worst.
I ordered a large Shrimp Lo Mein yesterday, which was packaged in a small brown paper bag. When I got home and opened it up, I had a container of DRY spaghetti noodles, IN NO SAUCE and they didn’t even put soy sauce in the bag! I called to complain and the woman tells me “ You have to ask for EXTRA SAUCE”. I told her there is NO SAUCE in the Lo Mein! “Come back, we’ll add extra sauce on top”. Restaurants kill me with their lack of accountability about the food they prepare and sell. Food costs way too much these days for people to be so nonchalant after they have MY MONEY in THEIR pockets. I highly recommend looking at your food before leaving this place and BEFORE PAYING FOR IT!
One of the best Chinese restaurants in Springfield. I've been coming here since a kid. They have great food but honestly they don't beat Peacock Chinese restaurant.Food: 4/5
Best in the area, food was good. Our waitress, who's probably the oldest person working there was great!
I would say the rice I'm my opinion was lacking flavor. The chicken was alright. I give it 3 stars because my mom seems to really enjoy their food so maybe it's just not to my taste palet. 3 orders came up to roughly 47 dollars, I would say it's average pricing for the amount of food served per plate. The location is remodeled and clean. It has a relaxed vibe to it. Forgot to take pictures The lady at the front desk was very kind. Features: Masks aren't required but recommended.
