Before you go, prepare ORIGINAL copies of followingn- drivers license checked by the officern- passport not required, but still may helpn- work permit checkednnIf you have family members,bring theirn- spouse: work permit checkedn- kids: permits checkednn- spouse: marriage certificate checked, original and one copy of translation if not in Englishn- spouse: drivers license not checkedn- kids: birth certificate checkednn3. On the day of arrival:nLine up in the early morning before 10am for morning session or after 11am for afternoon session. Too many people in the little room so they will close early as they see enough people for each session.nnEach person may take more than 3hours to complete the submission. Eg, arrive at 8:30-9:00am, get ready to submit and document review by 12 noon, leave around 12:30pm.nn4. Pharmacare inquiries- no need to wait, go talk to the security guard and enter the room directly.nnA big improvement to be made in this process, as each case the officer needs to see the original copies and then photocopy them, which takes a around 10mins, plus questions about your name, entry date or dependents or any other information. The longest time could be 45mins per person just as I saw in one morning.nnGood luck!

Absolutely useless !!nImpossible to get into contact - phone lines have a very small queue so they will drop you call - and god forbid you get transferred because that also has a short queue and your call will get dropped.nnTo reach certain people / clerk areas someone on the phone needs to transfer you and once I asked if they had a extension number or anything of that matter so I could simply not have my time wasted waiting in at least 2 phone queues .. if I can even get in queue they said that it’s not available.nnTheir hours are horrible for anyone with a 9-5 job.nPeople who work there are very quick to pass along your concerns to the next person thus deal thing with holds, horrible queues and wait timesnnAbsolutely horrible that this service made for Manitoba citizens is not user friendly AT ALL .nnTo anyone dealing with anything regarding Manitoba heath.. good luck

I queued up shortly before 1:00 p.m. to get a number and waited about 30 minutes before receiving one. It’s now 3:39 p.m., and after more than two hours, my number still hasn’t been called. Despite the large number of people waiting, only one or two counters are staffed at a time. The level of customer service at Manitoba Health is incredibly poor—and their hotline is even worse.nnPrepare to have your entire day wasted if you need to transact with Manitoba Health. I submitted my documents online in early February and never received any response, so I had no choice but to dedicate an entire afternoon to deal with this in person.

The most long wait time I had ever in my life, coming at 8:30 and waiting for more than 3 hours and not yet my turn. A huge shortage of staff. People have to line up outside the office for hours. I don’t know how sick people can stay that long standing. You have to line up for hours to get a ticket number if you are lucky. Also another thing most of the time I come here there is no one speaking French which is against the laws and regulations of bilingualism in Manitoba government.

Suggestions for visitors to save time and be mentally prepared:nn1. Submit documents in person to avoid processing delays. Do not rely on online form submission.nn2. Carry Original and printed copies of all documents, even if submitted online.nn3. Be prepared for long wait times; arrive early if possible.nn4. Keep a follow up for your application even if you have to stand in long queues again to avoid any further surprises.nn5. In any case you have to get some print for your documents you can visit UPS store nearby or library to avoid time waste.nn6. Paid parking is available to the back side of the building.nnStaff is Co-operative but system lacks efficiency, so be patient and all the best.
