Wok This Way

Good & cheap food in town. Only spent 11 bucks for a healthy lunch combo, which I could easily eat for dinner as well. The owner is nice and the food is BOOM. I love this place! Would come back againRecommended dishesCombo 6

***Update July 22nd 2021*** I am back for more of their lunch specials. I ordered my favs Combo #1 and Combo #5. Like I said before, these lunch combos are the gems. They are always tasty and well worth the price. The service has always been friendly and helpful. Thumbs up all the way here. ======================================================== I was at this mall yesterday for curb side pick up at the Canadian Tire. As a preface, I have been to this mall many times. But I am usually at the other end of the mall where the Shoppers is, and I have frequented Cobs Bread, Pho 99 or 89 I can never remember really , Dolled up Cupcakes and Turtle Jacks. But yesterday, while I was waiting at Canadian Tire. I noticed " I heart Boba", which is a very good bubble tea place. Then I started looking around this end of the mall....and I realized that there is a Chinese/Canadian restaurant next to the KFC. Wait a minute here.... I have been to that KFC ages ago, and maybe I just never noticed. So I decided to give it try as I was in the mood for some Chinese/Canadian food. And because so few of them are any good, I was skeptical indeed. The place looked dated, but it is no big deal as long as the food is good right? It looked promising when I went in for my take out and the owner was talking with two regular customers. I ordered two lunch combos which includes a pop/water. In terms of value, this is the best deal in town at around $8.00 + taxes each. The lunch combos do end at 3:00PM. The portion was delightfully generous. And the food and the sauce tasted fresh and flavourful. I will definitely return to try their other items. I do like to support local mom & pop businesses vs. the National Chain brands.

The best fried rice I have had in a long time, and I am speaking as a Cantonese person living in Toronto frequenting authentic Chinese restaurants regularly. Great "wok chi.". The spring rolls, however, are not the best. I went to this place because it was a Sunday afternoon, and Congee Queen was way too crowded. Good discovery. Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian options. Parking: The restaurant is in a mall, so there are lots of parking spaces.

Everytime I go in and get the little Asian lady. She treats me like dirt then takes 20 minutes for a lunch order that takes 5 for all others in after me. No customer service just takes as long as she can. I've spent tons $$ over the years in there. Never again...Food: 3/5

Ordered chicken fried rice for the first time from this location. The rice was burned, so hard and dry, couldn’t eat it at all. Looked like they just reheated some leftover rice and gave it to me. Not even worth 5 dollars. Will never go to this place again.

The most delicious Chinese food. I loved it. just one thing they need to do for improving the customer service is cleaning the place more, for the better atmosphere an maybe redecorate.

This was a "Wok"in take-out order. Three people were ahead of me, plus people waiting for their take-out order. The lady taking care of the orders was calm, polite, and friendly. Considering all of the activity, she did an amazing job at dealing with all of the hungry people. Oh, and I almost forgot about the phone ringing multiple times. I placed my order and was told it would take 15 to 20 minutes. I was out in 17 minutes. At home, the order was exactly what I wanted, fresh, and hot. It was delicious. I will be back again. Parking: Parking right in front, easy walking. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible right in front. Perfect.

We ordered the spicy garlic pork chops, pork fried rice and sweet and sour pork ribs. We enjoyed the food, but spicy garlic pork chops were not what we expected. They were breaded and covered in garlic and spice and my partner said it tasted like the shrimp torpedo you get from Manchu wok which was not a bad thing, just unexpected. I enjoyed the sweet and sour pork ribs, but I expected ribs with bones which it wasn't and this was a very happy surprise. The fried rice was good too not overly salty or anything and really generous portion of pork in the rice. We ordered from here because we were in the area and wanted Chinese food and would order again.

Amazing soup in the winter and freshly made Chinese and Thai options for take away.Food: 5/5
