This little cafe surprised me with such a good and authentic food from Southeast Asia! From fried rice, curry puff to the national dish from Malaysia - nasi lemak, all are cooked by the chef from Malaysia! It's definitely a hidden gem for foodie who love Southeast asian cuisine.
I found this small shop serving the authentic Malay and Indonesian food. You can’t get such a rich and flavourful dish at pocket-friendly price anywhere in London. Also, it is very convenient to reach My Wok Box as it is just next to Kilburn station and surround by nearby bus stops.
The best Malaysian food place in London without any doubt. The food is homely, full of flavour and cooked fresh each time. The owner is super friendly and accommodating for food preferences vegetarian/vegan. I would highly recommend to anyone in the area, and would come back again.
Had lunch here two days in a row. The loveliest pakcik and makcik uncle and aunty super friendly! The food is very authentic Malaysian think mamak style and priced very reasonably. Will recommend to friends in London!
Simply put, your bucket list is incomplete until you’ve tried this incredible little restaurant. Chef Mo welcomed us like long term locals and served up the most authentic roti & chicken curry, beef rendang with coconut saffron rice, and teh tarik. You just can’t find food this delicious at a price like this £10 per main in London anymore, and it’s conveniently right next to Kilburn station. Throw in some good stories from the Chef about Sabah and durian, and I’d give it 9 out of 5 stars if I could. Do yourself a favour and go see Chef Mo and Chef Wan pronto. Whatever they cook you will serve whatever ails you. Terima kasih Chefs — we’ll be back very soon to try the gado gado and laksa.
I've been here three times and the uncle and auntie are always super duper friendly and serve such nice food! The shop has a really unassuming exterior but it's like a treasure trove of Malaysian food inside. They really go out of their way to make you feel at home and serve you whatever food you're missing from home. I'll work harder on my Bahasa Melayu!!
The food was amazing, Mo and his wife make all the food fresh on the spot and are super accommodating, they will loteraly be your private chefs and suite the meal to your tastes and needs!Food: 5/5
My friend recommended me to get food in My Wok Box Restaurant, so i came to this place to give it a try. Frankly speaking, i really enjoyed the food served here. There are various menu available in My Wok Box, particularly Malay authentic food and beverage ranging from Nasi lemak, fried rice with prawn until the famous teh tarik. Their taste are delicious which brought me having lunch in this restaurant 7 days in a row during my seven-day holiday in London. Moreover, the price is affordable which is pocket friendly, and the service was great. The way Uncle, Aunty, and Encik Rizwan communicate and build relationship with customers are truly friendly and full of hospitality. No wonder this restaurant make me feels like home, and i strongly believe anyone who experienced having food here feels the same way like I had. So guys, please come and enjoy the food served in My Wok Box Restaurant. You will get the eating experience that you won't regret it :
the owners were so welcoming. i have a very particular coffee order, and chef mo said he'd try to remember for next time. i enjoyed the coffee and a curry puff while i waited for my nasi lemak with beef takeaway. so good! i will definitely be back. thank you for making my day!
Had dinner with the family today. We ordered roti canai, kuey teow and nasi lemakof course! alongside our teh tarik. Happily recommend as it isn't overly sweet! Great food and charming and friendly owners. We also tried out their savoury/sweet snacks, cocodok pisang and karipap. Ate them too fast that we forgot to take pics! Would recommend and revisit soon.
