Wissota Chophouse

My husband and I love to go to this restaurant for Happy Hour for beverages and appetizers. Great selection of on tap beers and we always enjoy the pretzel with hot cheese as well as the Charcuterie & Cheese Board. Amanda is great and we hope she is working when we come. If I had any suggestions to make this a five star review it would be two things. I wish it was a little more affordable. I would love to have dinner here sometime. I also wish some of the staff were a little more knowledgeable and attentive. With some of the staff simple questions about the menu go unanswered. There is also a lot of loud chatter not related to work that happens on the floor of the restaurant. It can be invasive when trying to enjoy a nice night out.

Thank you so much for the best steak I have had in a very long time. Service was very pleasant, everyone was very helpful and welcoming. Bacon Truffle Mac&Cheese, was just heavenly. Would recommend this establishment to anyone who loves a good steak and is not afraid to pay for the experience. Thank you again Pastor Roddie

We were surprised by this wonderful meal while staying at the cobblestone! My husband and I both had the filet and it was cooked perfect. If you know steak this place does it well. A bit pricey for this area I thought but the food was really good. We shared the asparagus and Brussels sprouts (very big portion) which were good as well. Service was good. Restaurant was clean. We went on a Friday evening and did not wait to be seated.

I dined there tonight with a party of four. This is my second experience at this restaurant and both dinners left me with a sour taste. Not the food, which was ok, but for $75 per person, the service was sorely lacking. Our waitress was switched with another without explanation. Simple questions about the menu selections baffled this second server. Even though she just sampled the featured seafood stew this evening, she could not describe it to me. The restaurant was nearly empty but still the server was not attentive. Also needed to keep our coats on as it was a little cold inside. When we left, there was not a single employee in sight to say good bye or thank you. Not at the bar, not at the hostess stand, not even a server walking around. I would not recommend to others.

The food was exceptionally amazing, felt nice to walk in with a ball cap and jeans and a sweatshirt on (Which is not the place to do so but I rarely dress up). Being 23 and looking young me and my wife got the same treatment as people in suit and tie. Prices were a little pricey as we came in just under 200$ for dinner for two. Definitely a special occasion place. But you get what you pay for, and we got all of it. Thanks for the nice experience.
