Loved this little museum. It is just a few rooms, short and sweet. It shares the same...

Informative museum in a historic home. Lots of great information and artifacts about the areas history. Had a scavenger hunt that the kids loved. The man working there was extremely affable, great with kids and informative in history. Worth a visit.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Great place with some great history and kid friendly. 10/10; world recommend as a quick stop - or as a more drawn out one. The museum is laid out so that you can make what you'd like of it
Great small museum. Such a wonderfully restored house from the 1800s. Worth a visit. When we were there there was no admission fee. Not sure if this is an all the time thing of just the day or week or month we were here.
Thank you, thank you thank you Windsor Community museum for being small, simple and sensational in all the right ways. You were easy to mentally digest because of your layout & design, among ither things, and here is why... The Museum was housed in an actual house. It had stately, regal decor and a freshly painted, clean, modern bathroom. All areas were wheelchair accessible and smelled good too. The volunteer guide was attentive, and pleasantly positive with a big smile. The house was built by a "big deal" local in 1812 who went by the name of, get this Francois Baby! Many of the domestic items from that time were on display in a way that it made me feel like I was visiting a friendly and prominent relative that I never knew but recently learned of. Overall this museum was in a great location, had a gregarious guide, with delightful domestic items on display in a well maintained actual house off the beaten path. Nice air conditioning as a bonus. A must see when in this part of the world.
It's free, and the exhibits were interesting. It's mostly about how the local area came into existence as we know it now. They have some permanent exhibits and some that change occasionally. Definitely worth it if you like to visit something other than the large, "mainstream" museums. It's a good spot to warm up on cooler days, too.
Take a trip back in time. Windsor has a very interesting past.
Lots of great information about the 1800s and the local life that would have been lived.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
This museum is really interesting. Well worth a visit. We particularly enjoyed the movie about the war of 1812, it was funny and informative.
Fun look at a difren take on history
Once you see the looks on your kids faces and hear their questions on the way home, you quickly realize that museums are as irreplaceable today as they were pre-internet.
