Windsor International Transit Terminal

Story

Windsor International Transit Terminal is a multi-modal facility shared by Transit Windsor and Greyhound Canada. It is located on the block between Chatham Street and Pitt Street on the east side of Church Street in downtown Windsor, Ontario, Canada.Transit Windsor redeveloped its downtown transit terminal through a public-private partnership involving federal, provincial and local governments and Greyhound Canada. The new bus station, built at a cost of $7.4-million, opened in the summer of 2007, replacing a small facility that was more than 65 years old. The project is sited next to several major arts facilities, like the Art Gallery of Windsor, Windsor's Community Museum, and François Baby House, and is about 0.6 kilometres from Caesars Windsor.ServicesTransit Windsor routes serving this terminal: 1A Transway 1C Transway(eastbound and westbound) 3 West(evenings, Sundays & holidays) 4 Ottawa 5 Dominion 6 Dougall 8 Walkerville 14 Parent Tunnel Bus Special events buses to Detroit

I never write reviews but as a frequent rider on these buses, I am beyond tired of the poor quality service. Today particularly, the crosstown 2 didn't show up for over 50 minutes. Mind you, the time I was there, the bus was scheduled to show up every 10 minutes. So not only was I and at least 20 other passengers stuck in the cold for almost an hour, I missed most of my class and I'm sure others missed their commitments as well. I understand things happen but when the posted schedules become more of a decoration than a plan, it gets tiring.
While I typically refrain from writing online reviews, my recent experiences compel me to express my concerns regarding the conduct of certain bus drivers. It is my observation that a number of these drivers exhibit a lack of professionalism and courtesy towards passengers.nI understand that the demands of public transportation can be stressful. However, other professionals in comparable or more challenging public-facing roles, such as nurses, doctors, and police officers, consistently maintain a high degree of composure and civility.nBus drivers should recognize that their position inherently involves interacting with the public. If one does not possess the necessary social skills and temperament to perform this job effectively and pleasantly, alternative career paths may be more suitable.
I am a high school student. Me and many of my peers rely on the Crosstown 2 to arrive ON TIME to bring us to work and home. For people that live in Riverside and areas even more western that attend my school, this route is crucial. I am deeply offended by how long I wait at Tecumseh Mall each day for my only way home. The bus is scheduled to come EVERY 10 MINUTES, yet many students are waiting 40+ minutes for it to arrive. It is falsely advertised online that this bus will arrive at 3:03, 3:13, 3:23, 3:33, etc. Yet, I find myself shivering in the cold for nearly an hour each day. By the time the bus arrives, there is such a long line up that everyone is uncomfortably crammed in shoulder to shoulder. It feels like a violation. I am sick and tired of being late to work, late to seeing my family, etc. I am curious to know if there is an explanation for this cruel behaviour. Please get back to me or find a way to resolve this continuing problem.
Terrible!!!!nFor around two weeks, I’ve been arriving late to work because there are too many passengers, and bus 2 doesn’t show up. we’ve had to wait in the cold for more than 30–40 minutes. In the end, I had to take an Uber.
I can't give them 0, Customer service calls posted on the website were not answered. Today, September 19th,2022, at 9:20, I got on the No. 5 bus to st.clair college at the departure station. Very bad driver! After leaving the departure station, he only parked for the passengers who got off. He did not park for the students waited outside. There was a seat next to me, and there were no standing passengers in the back part of the bus. The students must arrive at the stop early, he did not let them get on , the children have to wait another 20 minutes, and they will be late for class too! His approach made the emotions of our passengers in the bus very depressed. Such people are not fit for public service. I met same driver in the Dominion 5 bus two years ago, in the very cold winter, he didn't stop for me, I felt so sad in the cold.
