Lisa Verrelli and Bincy George are cowards manipulative and dont take responsiblity for their actions and people in mamagement always get away with deceoption.. Bincy George manipulates and lies and Lisa Verrelli listens to Bincy George since she has worked there longer than Lisa Verrelli. When I asked Lisa questions face to face, she says she does not know. My LO dehydrated a few times and has to go to VGH. My LO had to return to VGH 4 tims in 2022, yet Lisa decides to not follow up with my concerns and has Dr. Menzies accountable to contact me. Bincy George tell me I dont have right to the lab reports. suddenly when I have always had access before. She dodges around with answers and talks like she is Queen. After covid restrctions ended for vistiation to continue to restrict vists to a few days a week and a limited time only..illegal. Bincey has lied to me mentioning she is not a medical professional on the phone. Is a registered nurse not a medical professional? She says the medical test is covered when the truth is is not not MSP insurance paid and still billed to the patients account.. Bincy manipulates the staff and lies to family members.Bincy and controls staff where one nurse decided to leave WCC. My LO yelled out "im thirsty" for 40 minutes and nobody came to her room. My LO has decided not to drink has they said they will have to go washroom too and dont want to wet their diaper. A BC civil servant mentioned their grandparents were in WCC and they werent getting their diapers changed enough and sitting in their urine/feces. The family members died in WCC. When there has been a outbreak on the floor, Lisa sent no email to any family member incluing me. Booking was done online in advance, but the families were not notified. Bincy George, Lisa Verreli with Dr. Menzie are dismissive and very poor in their ability to communicate. My LO's was left at at 11 times above normal range of TSH and these people did nothing. It took three months for Dr. Menzies a referral to a doctor outside of WCC at VGH and my personal support to get her TSH to normal range. High TSH affects cognition, swallowing, heart palpitations, etc. Nurses and staff told me that Bincy told them to not tell communiate to me about my LOs blood pressure, oxygen rate or pulse. My LO was fighting to recover from COVID. Been in an out of hospital. Dr Menzies does not answer questions. Never follows up when questions in a letter was sent to me. He said he would return a response while the social worker was in the meeting and he never once responded. I asked him why he never followed through with anything in the family meeting with the social worker and dietician and pharmacist. He was dead quiet. Looking downward in silence. Bincy, LIsa Verreli nor their boss Sarah Jordan did nothing to rectify the issue. . Questions have to be repeated again as when there is a phone call to Bincy as she is known to be divisive, lie and circumvents around the question with one sentence answers. She spent enough time on the phone that the questions could have been answered but she says I 'have no rights as a family member even though my LO has been there for a long enough time to know that nobody else is a personal contact to deal with issues. Seeing a love one yell for help and regurgitating on their own swallow left alone to their own device is not the care any elderly person should have to see. It took 20 minutes to have someone come to her room. I have seen a handful of elderly people huntched over their chair looking lifeless and there is no regard to check on their blood pressure, nutrition and hormonal deficiencies, etc. This is a sickening neglect of care medical care system. 1 nurse to 33 patients, 3 care aids to 20 patients. If legitimate concerns arise, then the family member becomes the bad person. People should have a right to ask questions of concerns of their LOs when seriously sick. This is a partial and biased controlled system with no accountability. Its time people in all areas of LTC speak up!
The staff is friendly, I visit my dad time to time from another provinces. I like how my dad tell me story what the staff do for him, and the facility provide for him. I could tell the staff cares for the folks. Because when my brother tells me facility offer for my dad, it is very inspiring. I also understood my dad want and need most. Honestly, thank you! This place did help my dad stayed in peace. He really just want to enjoyed watching his sports.
Found the manager Jose to be very arrogant. Cancelled my appointment with out contacting me. Was very condescending "This may not be the place for your mother". Front line staff were also abrupt and dismissive. Very poor impression of staff :. Will look elsewhere!
Good location ,everyone work there lovely care for each resident.
