Daily Bread prepares fresh, delicious sandwiches with loving care. We enjoyed the Sweet and Salty sandwich. There is a small seating area, a deli, and "merchantile". If you are traveling by around lunch time, it's worth the drive into the city.
This place is the absolute best every time I'm able to snag a sandwich! The Sweet & Salty is my go-to...ham with tangy honey mustard, cheese, banana peppers, onions, lettuce and tomato on your choice of fresh baked bread. If you have the opportunity to get their oatmeal bread do not pass it up! They have a great selection of fresh made desserts, chips, some prepackaged but homemade salads like quinoa or broccoli, etc. Everyone is always so friendly to top things off. Love, love, love this spot and it's 5 minutes off the interstate. Do it!
Daily Bread and Mercantile doesn't't have a set menu, but rather releases their menu for the day each morning. They prepare all items fresh with homemade breads, soups, baked goods, sandwiches, etc. I just moved to Ellensburg and I already know this will be my go-to spot!
It's what you would expect from an Amish-style religious bakery. The fresh baked goods and bread are the stars here - the other deli toppings seem standard grocery store level issue. The decor, music, and biblical verse signs are a little dated but well cleaned. Seating area is also where the line and shop are so can feel crowded with no privacy.
Assortment of sandwiches, quiche, bakery and drily Doug. The food was good. We sat outside in front on metal chairs with tables. Thought it was a bit pricey for this type of lunch.
My managers mother works at the bakery. When my manager when to Washington I ask her if she could bring me back a scone to Nebraska. When she brought it back the scone was still fluffy and tasted amazing!!! Thank you Darcy!!! Literally the best scone I have ever had!!!
I'd heard good things about Daily Bread & if I lived closer I'd go in often. Their quiche is truly the best I've ever tasted & I enjoyed their mercantile, finding gifts for family & friends. Such a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Wish more places were like this. Thank you!
I don't go here very often cause I moved back to the west side for Dr reasons. But I love the sandwiches, they are top notch quality home style. The other snacks and food they have is also very very high quality and delicious. If you're not sure, just take the journey in see what they got. You'll find something.Food: 5/5
We visited for our first time. I got the sweet and salty sandwich, my Boyfriend got the club house sandwich. We both got tomato soup. The bread is delicious and home made. Mine was delicious. The girls that work there are very sweet. The gift shop has a lot. Some of the homemade frozen meals are overpriced. We bought a beef stroganoff and mashed potatoes for like $30. Lack of seasoning in the meals. Mashed potatoes are very bland. We will come back, the sandwiches were yummy and would order again. However, the meals weren't great and overpriced.
Bacon and corn Quiche is super delicious, the soups are perfect in this cold weather, best soup I had in town. Sweet and salty def a must have. Warm and friendly staff!
