Best addition to the Portland, Maine foodie scene. Best bbq and fried chicken in town. Very good beer and liquor selections and an incredible Happy hour. Dani is a gem of a bartender.
I'm from NC and this place does BBQ pretty well. Vinegar-based but comes with bbq sauce if you want it. Fried chicken and hush puppies are also great and sweet tea to top it off. Large portion sizes as well. If you got a southern craving while this far north, this is the spot.
First time here had chicken and dumpling like my mothers homemade. My husband had fried chicken batter was unbelievable tasty , tangy delicious. Homemade biscuits with whipped butter and homemade Blueberry jam with real maine Blueberry. Yummy.
Just wow. Had most of the menu. All meats perfectly cooked and seasoned. Ribs and fried chicken great but dont miss the pulled pork!! Nothing over the top with sauce or sugar. Sides were well sized. Amazing greens, slaw, biscuits, and beans. Make sure to try the Guiness sauce.
