Dr. Tezel & Dr. Bloom are amazing, as well the techs, assistants and reception. They tell you the truth and explain both potential risks and outcomes. They explain everything in detail so you understand exactly what is happening with your pet. They do not sugar coat things, which is appreciated, as all potential risks should be known, when making important decisions. They have always been and continue to be excellent with my fur baby. In our most recent experience, a high risk surgery, I was extremely happy with the care that was given to my fur baby. They are warm, caring and very good with all the animals and pet parents, that I have seen. They are quite far from me but I continue to take my fur baby to them because I know I can trust them with my precious little family member.
Do not bring your dog here! I've brought my dog here for about a year. Our doctor was Defne Tezel. She was very caring and a good person to my dog. However, I did not take my dog to the vet for 4 months because there was no reason. My dog has diarrhea today. I called and said I wanted to talk to my doctor, which wasn't the first time I'd done this. I was told by my doctor that I could always call and ask for help. The person at the reception told me on the phone that I had not come for 4 months and that I had to bring my dog to the clinic and said that she would make the appointment in 3 days. My dog is sick and I said I can't wait 3 days. First she said she would leave a note to my doctor, then she said that the doctor was not in the clinic for 2 days. What they did was officially to get the examination fee, and this is extremely meaningless. That's exactly what the person on the phone said. I can already pay for it. They lost me as a patient. I can't believe they are so greedy and the way they treated me. I will never bring my dog here again. This is a place that aggrieve people.
I've only ever had excellent experiences here. It's not the cheapest place but you get what you pay for. I've been bringing my various cats here since 1987. Dr. Bloom in particular is great! He's my regular vet but in his absence I've seen Dr. Tezel and Dr Rose, both of whom I liked very much as well. Also, the rest of the staff is very friendly and helpful whether it's the vet techs or receptionists :
I’ve been bring my cat here for 7 years and have always been pleased with the service. This is a 24 hour clinic, so you can be sure that if you pet needs emergency care, they will be able to help out. As many reviews pointed out, yes this place is a bit expensive but if you have insurance, pretty much most of your costs are covered. They will even send in your insurance claim for you. Parking at this location is behind the building and isn’t the greatest. You have to be careful when you drive down a narrow entryway. Overall, not a bad place.
They don’t care about me or my pet. They repeatedly cancel long-standing and recently confirmed appointments on short notice and are never available when my dog is in need. The only reason we stay is for Dr. Bloom, who is great.
I took in my 9 month year old Bully Puppy to see Dr.Bloom today and i was more than pleased with how he attended to me and my puppy. He was very patient, kind and understanding. He was very thorough during the exam and made sure to ask me very detailed questions about my puppies history to ensure he had all the correct information… which usually other Vetrinarians don’t care/bother to ask. Thank You Dr. Bloom for attending to my puppies needs for almost 3 hours without giving me any attitude or get frustrated with me. He has great people skills and is very pleasant to be around.
As a 4 year customer I'm this hospital, I am really disappointed with the Dr.Yufuko, she treated my cat differently compared to others. I am not sure if she is a racist?? She even didn't reply my email which is really important for my cat's state of sickness. Anyways the reception is good, only the doctor let me feel disgusting
Lilo has been coming here since she was 10 week old. VCA Careclub program has been very good and helpful for us, Lilo went through her first vaccines, spay and cherry eye surgery with no hassle.
My dog has to come in for the second time for a blood sample due to an inadequate sample that was taken or who knows what happened to the initial blood sample ??? This is highly unnecessary and is so careless on the clinics part. My dog is stressed every time she comes to the vet. This could have been prevented and yet it happened. So disappointed in the way how this was handled.
One of our twin Basset Hounds was recently treated by Dr. Rose Bloomberg for a laceration on her back. The entire Staff of this clean, modern, well-cared for Hospital/Clinic were spectacular. Our experiences were EXTREMELY POSITIVE from the moment of our initial phone call, through arrival, our Dog's treatment, discussion thereafter, and follow-up. Dr. Bloomberg was incredibly kind-hearted, empathetic, exceptionally knowledgeable sharing her background and expertise as both Veterinarian and a Microbiologist, and she worked very quickly. We drove from Downtown Toronto specifically to the Willowdale Animal Hospital and can speak confidently, that our experiences here have been nothing but amazing and Ginger has made a 100% recovery, much faster than anticipated. Thank you so much again from all 4 of us!
