A very beautiful and well maintained place especially to visit during the fall. Easily accessible by public transport. But if you want to climb here and there between the trees make sure you are wearing proper footwear.
This is a beautiful park. Lots of nice photo spots and well conserved infrastructure. It misses some signs to let you know where to find food and washrooms. This is a perfect spot for a photography session.
Started from the bottom, along the creek, on and off the main trail to Edward Gardens and back. Also did a loop around the Serena Gundy Park. All together it was about 6.5km. It was the Friday before the Victoria Day long weekend. It was kind of busy, especially at the Edward Gardens. The walk was enjoyable.
Wilket Creek Park is a beautiful place always busy with people you’ll see jogging, hiking, running, walking their dogs riding their bikes, cleaning this park and just about anything that suggests RELAXATION GALORE! The park is just perfect to visit any season of the year especially in the Spring when the leaves on the trees are just starting to show, oh what a promise given to US by Mother Nature. In Summer months, parking is a little difficult to find in this over 40 hectares combined parks because Torontonians just loved to gather and do their barbecuing and family gatherings here, celebrating birthdays on the park and also wedding pictures being held at the park, busy eh? Yes, everybody loves this because it’s accessible by public transportations from Eglinton and Leslie streets and once you enter this park, you can follow the paved paths to different other trails like directly to Edward Gardens, E. T. Seaton Park all the way to Brickworks and straight to Bayview St and all the way to Lakeshore… so many trails interconnected, LET’S GO EXPLORE! Oh by the way, there’s also washrooms and drinking fountains here.
Rode my bike through here the scenery is beautiful absolutely recommend riding around this area if you get a chance. If you don't ride you can also walk through. Restrooms: I did see some restrooms I can't exactly remember where they were Dog-friendliness: I saw people walking their dogs down there Picnic area: There's definitely areas where you can have a picnic
Beautiful colours in the fall, but way too crowded with people and cars. Suggest coming on a weekday to avoid the crowds.
Smooth paved trail wide enough for cyclists and pedestrians. The city built a boulder wall along the edges of a portion of the creek, great for sitting by the open scenic creekside. Access to Edwards Gardens, Sunnybrook Park, Vanderhoof and Eglinton Ave, few connections to Leslie Street by foot and car. Public restrooms where the trail meets the road near Serena Gundy Park parking lot.
Beautiful trail to walk/bike along. Absolutely love all the nature & greenery. Water is really clear and you can spot little fishies!
There are slightly steep entry/ exit points to get to the long trail of the park. But it is worth it, it is so beautiful to follow the water walking, running or biking along the well maintained paved trail. There you can see lots of wildlife, trees and flowers. There are also lots of romantic wooden bridges that help take you across the babbling creek. Additionally, there are many places where you can have a picnic, sit on benches, or sit on the grass and just look around. Currently Southern Ontario is having a outbreak of an invasive species, the gypsy moth. There are millions of them feasting on tree leaves stripping the trees bare. I hope that this infestation doesn't cause too much damage to the trees and the habitat. If you like my reviews, videos or photos creek your thumbs up.
Spectacular location esp in the fall. Don't miss. A must-see!
