Story

Cecil Horwitz R.Ac, D.Ac, CH
Known for his expertise in treating and enhancing fertility, preventing miscarriages, and treating a broad range of pregnancy-related issues, Cecil is an acupuncturist who helps women achieve their health goals at all stages of life. Although he specializes in women's health, with a specific concentration on fertility, conception, labour, menstruation, and postpartum-related health issues, he also treats men, and children of all ages.

Thanks to the high success rate of acupuncture and acupressure treatments in aiding fertility and childbirth, Cecil loves to treat pregnancy from conception to labour and beyond. As a clinical supervisor at MacEwan University's student teaching clinic, he has taught classes and lectured in the following areas: miscarriage prevention, breech presentation, mastitis, and acupressure for labour pain.

Cecil has completed postgraduate training in acupuncture obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive medicine under respected experts Jane Lyttleton and Bob Flaws. He has also received certification in obstetrical acupuncture and acupressure from noted field pioneer and expert Debra Betts, and completed training in shonishin pediatric acupuncture with Dr. Raven Lang.

Cecil has spent some time studying with noted author and acupuncturist Jill Blakeway in New York. Jill has written one of the first books on integrating western and eastern medicine with regard to fertility and pregnancy health. His most recent exploit has been studying mind body medicine at the Benson Henry Institute at Harvard Medical school, in which he will receive certification in training in the field of Mind Body Medicine.

Cecil is a certified Chinese Herbologist and is currently enrolled in postgraduate training to become a member of the American Board of Reproductive Medicine.
