Great park since I was a kid going there in the 80s. Surprisingly, they now have out free lunch to kids there, which we thought was nice. It's not like there's some huge line to stand in, either, as this park isn't very busy at noontime. Our 3-year-old prefers Whittier Park because he prefers the chaos of kids that show up in the afternoon, when it REALLY gets busy.
The open space here is excellent to fly kites or kick a ball also easy to picnic. The free little library is my sons favorite always something for everyone.
The Natural Leaders program over this summer had been a huge hit with our 7 and 9 year old boys. Every day they come back home with new stories of their adventures throughout the city or tails of the activities for the day. Biking, hiking, crafts and so much more. I highly recommend this program for anyone living in Minneapolis with kids. Mega Bonus, it's FREE! They supply all of the equipment, you supply the kiddos and pack a lunch for them. Our children have met so many other kids here as well growing socially and emotionally along side the physical growth through all the fun stuff they get to do!
It was very interesting and it was and it was all used goods That were given out for free there was one stand that had salads salads and snacks snacks but unfortunately no cold drinks
Great place for our picnic. And it looked like plenty of others enjoyed their time at this park too.
This park has equipment toddlers can use as well as elementary school age kids. Easy to keep track of kids with openess of play area.
really fun. Lots of kids on weekdays. My daughter asks to go every day
It was nice but there were children there unattended and unaccompanied by their parents in the pool. This made it a lot more difficult for the small children to play as freely.
Beautiful park, for go to take a little walk, go with the children or family, play in the park, play baseball, or whatever you want.
Nice area, too bad people smoking a cigarette on 1 hand and playing frisbee on the other while kids are all over the place for after school.
