It is very pretty here. My family had taken our family pictures here. It is a great spot to go to with friends when you don’t know what else to do. Using a lime scooter across the bridge is very fun as well. It is a great photo opportunity. I have always enjoyed my time here. It is a great view of Minneapolis and super cool to see the water. There are many areas to explore!
A beautiful spot to enjoy the Mississippi and it's bridges. It has a great view of the Stone Arch bridge, a nice but somewhat short walk through some scenic nature and even ruins that you can stray a little of the path to enjoy.
Visited this park on a mid-April weekday around noon. We’ve had a very cold spring and trees are still bare, making the warts of this little park stand out. On the plus side this little park is right on the Mississippi with a nice views of the Stone Arch Bridge, the downtown skyline, and the Pillsbury A building. It has nice wooden stairs and bridges, and it’s ideal for getting a quick but intense cardio workout. On the downside the park is severely scarred by graffiti and refuse. There’s quite a bit of evidence of drinking and drug use. I would not feel safe bringing children here, and I suggest that women do not visit the park alone.
Really enjoyed this whole area. Between the bridge and the trails in the park, there’s a lot to do! Saw quite a bit of wildlife too.
I loved it. What a wonderful, diverse park. Spectacular scenery with lots of green space that can accommodate any type of activity for any age - including pets. And the scenery and photo opportunities are spectacular, limited only by the imagination. The weather and mighty Mississippi make for a constantly changing display of the power of the elements and water - it's different every time you visit. The park is surrounded by tons of restaunts and other establishments so it's just so easy to find relief and refreshment whenever needed. Parking is a bit limited, but with persistence you can always find a place. Bottom line is it is always worth the effort to visit any time of the year. Highly recommended.
We like to come here with our bikes and ride around the stone arch bridge and bike paths and the have dinner on one of the patios. Its an amazing place we have here in Minnesota, great place for date night, take advantage of it.
The events occurring here are consistently of very high value. I've watched films on the giant screen set up & have seen incredible talent showing their artistic greatness to eager crowds. Festivals are common during warmer times & good fun is had by all especially on warmer days.
So beautiful from the trees that are changing colors to a beautiful waterfall! It's a good place for families and people who want to walk in nature.
How many times have you walked past the sign that says Lower Trail when walking along St. Anthony main area? Take it I say, just go! We did that on Saturday after crossing the Stone Arch Bridge, we found ourselves in another world. There are things that look like grottos, tunnels that go under the road, waterfall, wildlife, flowers, and the most amazing views of the bridge from underneath it. Only wish the hike was longer! When you are on the stone arch look down to the east, an you will see the little bridge down below. That is where you go. I now know it exists, but did not until this weekend. Almost don't want to tell how cute it is as I like the fact that most people don't know.
Beautiful park located in Old Town. Minneapolis. I participated in a 10k race in my wheelchair there. Fell over twice and other racers were right there to help me up. Love that Midwestern kindness! Nestled right up next to the Mississippi, this a great place to go walking or experience all the pedestrian fare.
