Rooms have new flooring and are clean with comfortable beds. Needs continued updates but it is adequate. Bring your own shampoo. A thin wafer of soap is provided. Restaurant is excellent.

Although there's not alot of choice in Atikokan, I enjoyed my stay here. It's a throwback experience. Rooms are dated and could use a spruce up but floors have been replaced so they're trying. Had everything I needed. Nice to be able to pull vehicle up right outside. Restaurant is right in motel so that was convenient also. Everything I saw and tried looked very good. Pickerel was excellent. And in true form, there WAS a stuffed white otter in the foyer. Will happily go back the next time in town (3-4 times per year). 4/5 for this type of accommodation.

Without sounding insulting I thought this place had surprisingly good food. I thought it was going to be a bit of dive food-wise but it was very good.

I am flabbergasted this place has an average rating of 4 stars. I honestly believe half he reviewers are just friends of the owner or something. My room was filthy. Spilled drinks all over the walls. Stains all over the 25+ year old cheap mattresses. Bath tub didn't drain when having a shower. grit etc. all over the window sill. If this place were like $40 a night, I would understand. I don't know where their money goes. Why not buy some new mattresses? I saw one bug as soon as i got in, but ti got away before i could get a good look at it - I don't THINK it was a bed bug. I have stayed at hotels all over Canada, Arctic, Europe, Cuba, and the States. This is definitely the worst value I've ever had. If nothing, but the prove i am not just a overly critical reviewer, i will say that the food in the restaurant was great!

Probably the best motel in town. Rooms are spacious and well furnished. Dinning room offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and take out. Food is fair. Staff are friendly.
