GREAT location, LOTS of selecfion, YUMMY ice-cream, friendly staff and clean interior... But $10 for a double scoop waffle cone???? I can get 5 of these in Europe for that price! Just insane.
Great place great location! It has been 22 years, every time I go to White Rock, I will almost always visit this cafe for the ice cream. Always we got the happiness never disappointed! Highly recommended!
I went here at least five years ago and it was a nice place to grab a drink or ice cream from and sit inside and talk with friends or family. However, I went back the other day and was very disappointed in the service I received. As soon as I walked in, I greeted the workers, but was ignored and given dirty luxe. This made me feel unsettled, but I still gave the benefit of the doubt. As I was looking at the menu from a distance, I felt rushed. when I went up to the counter, to finally order, I greeted the worker, and was ignored once again right to my face. No smiles, no customer service, no friendliness at all. Very cold and unprofessional workers. As my drink was being made, I noticed it wasn’t stirred at all. Milk, coffee, and chocolate syrup were all thrown into a cup and handed to me. It was very gross to the point where I couldn’t even drink it. Nor could my partner who is also with me, a coffee fanatic. For the higher price point, it was very disappointing and my whole experience made me never want to return. In fact, I have now deterred family and friends away from the spot as it completely brought down my day, and made me feel unimportant as a customer. In such a popular location with all walks of life, I really expected the hospitality to be top notch as I’ve experienced at the other Ice cream and coffee shops along the strip. Unfortunately, this service does not exceed expectations, nor does it fulfill the bare minimum.
For such a great spot to put a coffee shop this place is super inconsistent. They seem to close at random hours yet being stated they are open until 8 everyday. Very unprofessional way to run a business by closing early almost every single day. To top it off the Coffee is not even that great, no matter the drink, leaving this place to be the last option if I were to grab coffee or food on all of the Whiterock promenade.
The tables were quite dirty and the staff not the most interactive. They don’t smile and barely greet you. I’ve had the ice cream and it is quite good, a bit too expensive…
Was looking for a nice cozy coffee shop to get some hot chocolate. Basic coffee shop interior. Seating is available. Staff was friendly. Overall, did not like the hot chocolate. Just tasted like warm milk with a slight hint of chocolate to it. Not many options in terms of pastries when I went in there.
It was okay, lots of selection on that street and it's maybe not the finest, but it's good. Cute and clean, with ready staff. Impressive serving sizes. The snowy ice cream machine was down. The fruity flavours weren't very strong, they lacked a citrusy zing and were just creamy tried mango and strawberry The ice cream latte was just a scoop of ice cream of your choice with an espresso shot and some milk poured on... They might consider blending it to make it a milkshake, but to each their own. The scoop was just a clump in the middle, I alternates between a spoon and a straw.
Huge Portions, Huge assortment of flavours. HUGE recommendation. This place is super nice and so are the staff and facilities. The portions are enormous, two scoops of ice cream is half a pint and you'd think that much deliciousness would be super expensive but it is actually quite reasonable. They have a wide variety of ice cream flavours to choose from which you can put in a bowl, cone, or waffle cone. You can also ask to put a cone or waffle cone on top of your bowl or cup of ice cream to use it as a spoon or just to add some crunchiness to your 'meal'. I would highly recommend going here if you are in the area, or even if you aren't. I loved the ice cream here and will definitely be coming back for more flavours and huge portions. I've also come here for hot chocolate on a cold rainy day and it was delicious obviously as well. An overall amazing place to go for Coffee & Ice Cream and to hang out with friends at the beach afterwards. The view from this shop is also really nice to enjoy rain or shine, sitting staring out at the beach with an icecream in hand or drinking a coffee on a rainy day at the beach Pluviophiles ftw. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the facilities are cleanly and there is a good amount of seating with clean tables inside and outside. 10/10 would recommend to all ice cream fans.
The flavour quality and size of the ice cream here is fantastic, and I would highly recommend getting the waffle cone. The price is a little bit steep, but it's the perfect treat to enjoy while walking down the pier.
Unfortunately the homogenized 3% milk was sour. Our two lattes $12.08 didn't taste so good. Recommend that a person doesn't buy a coffee when leaving White Rock Pier. Too late to turn back and get new ones. Lesson Learned.
