Whispering Waves Cottages

Very nice, quiet cottages in a beautiful setting. The cottages are very clean and bright inside. Overlook a quiet bay. Fire pit and picnic tables available as well as a small gas grill on the front porch. Just up the road is a rough truck/walking path to the Ingomar Beach. It's about a 10 minute walk from Black Point Rd. This is an extremely beautiful white sand beach especially at sunset and we had it almost to ourselves when we were there.

The cottages are really nice and roomy but we found the location very remote. Pretty well a half hour drive to a grocery store, gas station and liquor store. The cottages are located on the shore of an 'inlet', not the actual ocean where you can hear the waves. The white sand beach 5 to 10 minutes away requires a bit of a walk unless you have a truck. The road is not very passable for a car. The next closest beach is about 15 to 20 minutes away but parking is limited. Unfortunately, most of our stay experienced constant thick fog around the cottage and the beach. As the owners were away for the week, there was no 'intimate' private dinner available to be served to the cottage. While the cottage is nice and clean when you check in, it is not a 'house-keeping' cottage as no one came around to clean during our 4 night stay and you get your own clean towels from the laundry shack located on the property.

Great location. My wife really liked the cottage, so that won me some points. Nice little beach too. Quiet. Happy we found this place.

We stayed there in 2005 for our 10th anniversary. The cottages are outstanding! Beautiful, modern, and spacious. Deluxe accessories all the way around. The location is in the middle of no where, and right on the ocean's edge. Absolutely perfect. The hospitality is outstanding, warm, and friendly. The catered meal was out of this world. The area is very rural. A small diner nearby, and a small town with a tiny grocery store is just a short drive away. Plenty of beaches everywhere, and no one to bother you. The perfect getaway. Most places like this, the pictures embellish the story. With this place, the pictures don't do it justice. This is my de-stressing 'happy place'. Plan on a long stay. You'll be glad you did.
