Wheelhouse Brewing

No a bad place to eat while in Prince Rupert. Get there early as long lines form starting at 12 and later. We go there just after 11 and only had to wait a few mins. The smoked salmon artichoke dip is the the best as well as the chicken wings. Nacos, shrimp, & cheesebread was just ok, we got the sampler, skip that and just get wings and dip. We did not have pizza but it did look and smelled great.

We enjoyed our meat pizza and apple and beet salad. Beers were tasty! Great view from upstairs, or if the weather is nice you can sit outside. Group of four, everyone enjoyed their dinners. Nachos, pizzas and salads. Wine and beers. Nice walk from the marina, which is a plus.

I’ve never been catfished by a pizza before, but Wheelhouse managed it. What arrived looked absolutely nothing like the photos they advertise. It was pale, limp, and looked like it came straight out of a microwave. Check the photonn“Wood-fired”? Where was the wood? a toothpick sitting beside the microwave? There was no crisp crust, no char, and none of that fresh wood-fired appearance they’re selling online. If you need professional photos to make your pizza look like a completely different product, the pizza itself clearly isn’t doing the job.nnMassive disappointment. I ordered what was shown in the photos and received the sad microwave imitation instead.

This brewery is near the cruise port. It is a very short walk along the boardwalk. They have indoor and outdoor seating downstairs, as well as indoor seating in a sun room upstairs. They have restrooms downstairs, and upstairs although the upstairs was out of order. On busy times/days they have a small upstairs bar with a limited selection. The full beer selection will be at the downstairs bar. They also have a food menu which many were partaking in pizza, but we just had beer. We tried a few different beers and they were good. They also had games. They were busy when we were there, but we were from the cruise ship so it was to be expected. Overall this was a nice place to visit, and worth a stop in for a beer!

Had the spicy Hawaiian pizza and beer special. Made it Gluten Free and it was so very good.nGinger beer was good and very gingery. Beer was good also.
