Ocean View Pub

Basically the only pub in town. Beer was cold and had a bit of view of the waterfront. The building was having a renovation done inside (July/2017). Apparently the pub is going to have a name change and will be called the Ocean View rather than Howler's. A big bonus was that the pub was serving beer from the Sherwood Mountain Brewery located in Terrace. Very tasty!

Great. Opens at 12. Busy till 1, for fast service come then. Staff is great, food is great. Its a nice little spot. Prices are fair for Haida.

Friendly bartender. Ordered the daily special drink and she had to look up the recipe. Tasted good but ordered a second one and it was completely different. She said it was made in thirds and sometimes it will be different??????

In this neighbourhood you'll find all the food joints will sell you a beer or wine, which is nice. But this place is well... the only game in town when it comes to a bar. The have an excellent bar and can pretty much make you anything. I really love the freezing cold Stella on draft. They have an excellent lounge/couch area in front of the windows that look out to sea and they have a stage and a have live band once a month. They can get you a limited choice of pizza, appies and nachos from upstairs at the grill. All in all my favorite place to relax here.
