Westview Oriental Restaurant Ltd

It used to be the one of the best Chinese restaurant in Vancouver. I used to go there so often for dim sum but after the new arrival of new chef who likes to use the spice “star anise”, I go 2-3 times a year. However, this place is still better price and better taste than Imperial Restaurant in downtown Vancouver. Please bring back the old chef!!!

The food tasty and the menu has all your classic american style Chinese items along with many special dishes. The price I found high for what you get, but its one of the few Chinese resturaunts in the area and satisfies the craving. They also had a problem accepting credit cards for anything under 20$ which is ridiculous

We showed up right at 10:30am when they opened. Service was fast and dim sum is the standard affair w/o the rice rolls and egg tarts that I like. But everything else was good.

wow, since you fill out your dim sum order on a form, you wouldn't think they could deliver you dish after dish you did not order...not bring the ones you did, and then after pointing it out, deliver more than you corrected them on...and continue the game called "whose is this."....it becomes such a horrible problem that the meal is ruined... then they do the bill wrong....twice...I assume as they are used to over charging all us -well to do, north shore people..they overcharge by about double, then way better dim sum restaurants do..... but stay clear, you will end up with heart burn from the aggravation.... go to the one on 1st and renfrew, second floor, half the price, twice as good and they won't make the meal a joke of what the hell is this, and where is our.....and whose bill is this....not ours... not fun..

I lived years in Shenzhen, China. I love Guangdong cuisine and this restaurant makes me feel back to my lovely days in Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The food is fresh and quite delicious and the service is friendly.
