Story

Westview Christian Fellowship (www.westviewcf.com) is a church that meets Sunday mornings from 10:15 am. until noon at 124 Queenston Street. We are a learning community where participation comes before perfection. Church begins with singing and scripture readings. After that, we enjoy a cup of coffee and snacks followed by a talk and lots of conversation. Together we are trying to figure out what it means to be a family and a community that cares and shares with one another. We are dedicated to our neighbourhood on Queenston Street, choosing to be inclusive of anyone that comes in the door. In this way, we orientate our life together to the “good news” found in Christ’s teachings.

Westview Christian Fellowship strives to be a place that is non-judgmental, inclusive, and safe where all are able to engage with one another. We believe that all are created in the image of God and that when we get to know each other we are in fact getting to know the very person of Jesus.

Westview Christian Fellowship shares the building with our community. Three days a week Westview Centre4Women (www.westviewc4w.com) meets in the lower hall. WC4W is a place of belonging for women of all walks of life. It is a place where any woman can find breakfast, coffee/snacks, clothing, hair cuts, manicures, friendship, hot lunches and so much more, all free to anyone who chooses to come thanks to the support of Niagara Prosperity Initiative, The United Way and many private donations.

Throughout the week, several recovery groups meet to address the needs of those looking for support with their addictions. Thursday night we open our doors and welcome women working in the sex trade. Here they are offered a warm place, food, hygiene products, and support.
