We enjoyed our days in Yarmouth recently on a road trip around the province. I'm a preschool teacher and mom so I always check out libraries. I was really sad to see the children's section...just a sad bin of crayons and random coloring sheets...no inviting displays, interactive materials, blocks or cosy corners :, no blocks or trains for little ones. I wonder what resources are needed, financial or energy/creativity-wise, to make the children's section a more vibrant place for the many, many lovely kids and families living in this beautiful community.
They may not have every book ever published, but they have every title you could ever imagine, and if it is not in their collection, you can request it online.
Good selection of books but some of the staff are much too miserable to work costumer service. The stereotype of a Liberian being mean must have originated from this library. One particular, I believe her face would spilt in two if she smiled.
I love my library and couldn't do without it! Reading really does transfer the mind. We have a great book club here as well. The staff is so helpful and will assist u in finding what he looking for!
This library has such a community feel to it. One level , accessible, bright . The staff are so accommodating .
