I am so pleased with West Island College in Montreal! My nephew is currently a student there, and he absolutely loves it. The facilities are modern and well-equipped, providing an excellent environment for learning. I particularly appreciate that the class sizes are smaller, which allows the teachers to be more attentive and cater to each student's individual needs. It’s great to see him thriving in such a supportive and focused environment. Highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a top-notch educational experience!
Former student of WIC for five years, here’s my honest experience:nnIt’s an okay school. I thought I was well prepared until I went to CEGEP, where I quickly realized just how unprepared I actually was. Students from other schools, public and private were so much better prepared.nnMost teachers at WIC are good, but the bad ones are REALLY bad. One that stood out and ruined part of my high school experience was my Secondary 4 history teacher. She very obviously favored the boys in the class and constantly flirted with them. I wish she had spent more time teaching instead of flirting and talking about the work she’d had done to her face.nnAlso, the food is actually terrible. They don’t let you bring your own food, order Uber Eats, or even eat outside food in the cafeteria.
WIC was a fantastic experience as a student! The class sizes were intimate, the extracurriculars were varied, the school trips were enlightening, the teachers truly cared and were always available, and I am good friends with successful alumni to this very day. Our year graduated eventual lawyers, doctors, financial professionals, engineers, and many accomplished and well-rounded people, and the entire time somehow felt like a summer camp experience. 5 stars across the board!
I couldn't have asked for a better high school experience. Most importantly, teachers and admin care about students and school improves every year. Great staff, great students, overall amazing!
I recently attended my 15-year reunion at WIC, and the evening brought back such great memories.nnWith fellow alumni, we reminisced on our amazing student experiences. We recalled our tremendous educational trips, our many afternoons spent on the WIC's courts and field playing interscholastic sports, and the fun times we shared during recess and lunch. I personally appreciated the small class sizes and how accessible our teachers were for extra support.nnWIC was an integral part of my educational journey, and I look forward to staying connected for decades to come! 5 stars!
