Orchard House - West Island

Orchard House is hands down the best centre for early childhood education in Montreal. Orchard House West Island expertly prepares our little ones for their academic futures within the most caring, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Miss Yasmine’s pedagogy and educational philosophy is deeply informed by educational science, is beautifully balanced, creative, and self-reflective. The staff are all so warm, knowledgeable, and care deeply about every child in their care. And the sense of community at the school is exceptional. Although my son started preschool very timidly, after four years at Orchard House, he is so confident about entering Kindergarten, has all the tools he needs, and most of all, loves school and learning! As a doctoral candidate in education, I wouldn’t choose any other preschool for my children.

The best daycare in Montreal! My son been there for 4 years and enjoyed every moment! Amazing educators, helping hands, administration team and owner.. that really love kid’s and what they do.. They develop your child and build a strong foundation for the future.. there is nothing I would change and I’m super grateful for the peace of mind for 4 years knowing that my son getting the best care possible. I been to most of the daycare’s in the West Island before choosing Orchard and there is nothing that can even be compared to orchard.

Orchard House West Island gave wings to my eldest daughter. She has been attending OHWI for the last four years. When she first started, she was very shy and insecure, but throughout the years the educators helped her build confidence and we really saw her blossom. The educators are highly competent and give special attention to every children’s needs. Thank you OHWI.

Hands down one of the best daycares in Canada. After 4 years my daughter will be graduating and heading into kindergarten. She is well prepared academically, socially, and emotionally thanks to good parenting and a strong educational team at OHWI.

When an incident happened between my child and the teacher, different versions of the story were told. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt until they REFUSED to show us video footage - we have SEVERAL e-mails ignoring our questions related to possible video footage. I of course pulled my child out, but the incident left my child psychologically disturbed and in fear for weeks. Lack of feedback and communication - they used COVID as the reason... after almost 2 years since COVID's existence? Spoke to other parents who also agreed feedback was very much lacking. Only mentioned what my child ate and the activity completed that day, written in the agenda - that's it. ZERO feedback on how my child's transition was going. It took them THREE weeks to finally inform me my child has been crying almost every single day, and that's after I requested an in-person meeting because their e-mail responses were just as vague as the feedback in the agenda almost like they are too scared to admit anything in written?. I must say, some of the educators are simply wonderful. Others not so much. As for the admin team, most of them are kind, but one specific person was very cold on numerous occasions. Despite some of their kindness, how they refused to show us video footage or answer questions about it says a lot... Overall, very, very disappointing experience. Prides itself as being a top, premium preschool but does not meet this standard.

Best educative daycare in Montreal. The most amazing and caring staff. I would send my children nowhere else.
