This is definitely where you go when you want to pay for quality products. I bought my britax car seat here and these are baby shower gifts. The customer service is good too. The girls have all been nice and helpful too. I seen a full time job opening and wish I was working cause I'd apply today! Thanks to the lady today who got the baby shower gifts together for us. Saved us a trip and some money!
Literally the worst shopping experience I have had. The lady who helped us would not back off she had to get her 2 cents into absolutely every aspect of our conversation. Double charged me for a 700$ car seat and then took 8 days to return the money to my card. Basically told me what I should and shouldn't buy for my child. I will never step foot back into this store.
Do NOT shop at this location or with this company in general. THEIR POLICIES ARE UNHEARD OF!!! How is it possible to not be able to exchange the same item for a size bigger?!?!?! I’ve worked in retail for many years and this is something I’ve never heard. Very poor customer service and rude staff! Very disappointed.
I would just like to urge folks considering setting up their registry with these guys to THINK AGAIN. They will make mistakes regarding shipping and then put the burden of fixing the situation on YOU and send you on a wild goose chase. We spent over $5,000 on our registry. My sister purchased a stroller and an adapter kit to fit our car seat onto our stroller. The stroller arrived but the adapter kit did not. We made time to go into the store which is the Edmonton location, about 40 mins from home to clear up the issue but were told, "oh yea since you ordered online, you have to call the web store and deal with them that way" as if we had purchased the item from another company or something she also told me that "it says here it was delivered sooo..." In any event we called the number given and were given the runaround and got nowhere. Reaching my limit of tolerable frustration and not wanting to waste more of my time on someone else's mistake, I took a break and just decided the $70 piece was not worth the headache and I would just go and purchase it from BuyBuyBaby in store. Unfortunately they did not have it in stock. The stroller is also useless without this particular adapter piece for the car seat when baby is so small so at this point I NEEDED the piece to use my overpriced car seat and overpriced stroller. Again I went into the Edmonton location on a Thursday night as I don't have the ability to take time off work during the day to deal with someone else's mistakes and spoke with Darlene. I was again told that I needed to follow up online as if this business was not related to the shop I was standing in. I again explained my situation and voiced my frustration but was essentially told 'well sorry that's company policy'. At this point I needed the pieces to use my other equipment so I begrudgingly paid the $78.74 for two pieces of plastic with a $2.75 value and voiced my frustration. Darlene told me that since this issue started in September, goodluck! She also took my number and assured me that she would do the calling around and resolve the issue on my behalf and call me back with something the following morning. No such luck. We paid for an overpriced piece of plastic once, WestCoastKids did not send it and we had to pay for it again to use our other overpriced items and they basically told us it wasn't their problem. This is the first negative google review I have ever written and I am very disappointed to do so. In closing, if you intend to purchase your overpriced baby goods from WestCoastKids like I did, I would urge you to reconsider. Their online infrastructure is faulty and when they mess up your order, their customer service is abhorrent and you will be left with the bill.
Products are great, The employee who helped us was excellent. We paid for our large order over $1000.00. Was told to come pickup in 2 hours, we did that and I was accused of not paying the whole bill. They calculated the total 40 dollars short and were blaming me. Nobody would own up to their mistake, the manager did nothing. Absolutely not how you run a business. They lost an entire baby registry over 40 dollars.
I wish they had a better return policy. Even with a receipt they don’t take back furniture. Never heard of a store not being able to return unused/unopened packages. I understand it says on their receipts that all furniture sales are final. But the customer that bought it said they didn’t tell them that at the time of purchase, we only just noticed it on the receipt. This was a gift given to us at a baby shower and we didn’t even open it as it wasn’t something we needed. Can’t even do an exchange for other items we saw in the store that we actually needed. Pretty frustrated and disappointed. Not going to buy anything from them going forward. Plus the lady on the south side store was rude over the phone.
A bit pricey, but most definitely the best selection of nursery furniture in edmonton. Really good customer service.
As a new mom from the Island I was super excited to see a west coast kids here in south common. I went in Jan 26 evening with baby and my mom to shop for a sleep sack and a highchair for sure and probably some cute toys. There were 4 girls working as we shopped around. We spent around 45 mins in the store and not a single associate even said hi to us. We were looking through the clothes and comparing sleep sacks, then we were testing out highchairs and trying to understand them and yet no one asked if we needed help or even acknowledged us. We left with a teething toy and a sour taste on our mouth. We will not be back and are very disappointed in their customer service.
My Husband and I went into West Coast Kids to purchase a playpen as well as an infant car seat. The staff there is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. We were greeted by Tissa and she helped us pick the perfect car seat for our stroller and our vehicle. If she wasn’t sure of something regarding a question we had she double checked with a colleague or looked it up for us. She never once made us feel pressured to buy an item. After purchasing our CLEK Liing car seat we got home and realized that it was the incorrect color. I called the following morning and they exchanged the car seat with the correct color with no hassle. We ended up also buying the Bugaboo stardust playpen and we are very happy with it. We still have a few items to buy before our baby arrives and we will definitely be back.
I wish I had read these reviews before I started ordering from West Coast Kids. They have made mistakes on my orders, which I paid extra for due to their shipping. Their site flat out lies about inventory and shipping. I purchased out car seat and it clearly says in stock and arrives within 6-10 days. However, neither are the case and we needed by a certain date, like so many. And we ordered well within the perimeter. Customer service is rude and has no knowledge when asked where our tracking was they had no idea. I would not recommend this place, ever. There are actual local business that treat you much better. BBB even gave better service as well as great return policies.
