Excellent excellent!! I can’t say enough about this place! GORGEOUS views and the seafood was out of this world. Best halibut I’ve ever had. Our server was awesome!!! She even took many pictures of us. My husband and I want to come back and stay at the hotel. The decor was unbelievable
We went to West Coast Grill for my grandpa's 87th birthday on August 27th. I don't remember our server's name... but she was super nice, very attentive and great with the kids! We told her it was his birthday and she had the kitchen write happy birthday on his dessert plate and she put sparklers in his dessert and she sang happy birthday with us. His health is failing and he's in early stages of dementia so we don't know how much time we have. We really appreciate how she helped to make his birthday special, thank you! Thank you to the cooks for making us all delicious dinners and amazing desserts and to the bartenders for the wonderful drinks! Parking: Parking was very limited due to a wedding at the hotel. We had to park a fair distance down the road and walk in nice shoes in the dirt on the shoulder of the road. This was the only downfall of our visit to West Coast Grill. But this is no fault of the staff. I don't know if there would even be a way to add more parking at Prestige Hotel.
Our dinner at West Coast Grill was very nice. We had a lovely view on the patio and saw some harbour seals swimming around below. Our food was good. The salmon and the clam chowder are delicious! The fish was good, crispy and not soggy. The waiter was very nice and friendly.
Loved the view from the outside tables and had the best chowder we’ve had in a while in addition to a yummy tomato bisque and calamari. It was fun to walk on the dock afterward and watch all the seals.
Gorgeous view from dining room! I had the seafood chowder - excellent and a meal on its own. Perfect late lunch. Attentive, friendly staff.
My husband & I had dinner at the West Coast Grill as we where staying at The Prestige and received $20 off our meal. Reservations are a must as the restaurant is very busy. We began with the bucket of shrimp they tasted amazing, the only negative is it would have been nice to have something to wipe our hands with afterwards. For our main meal we each had a salad I had the Moa bowl which was very substantial & tasted amazing. Thank you to our waitress for a lovely evening.
One of the best restaurants in Sooke, located inside the Oceanfront Resort. The food and service were amazing. Went here for brunch and dinner and both times I was impressed with the quality of the food. Flavours were also on point. Best try to get a seat by a window or on the patio so you can enjoy the beautiful views this place has to offer while enjoying the amazing food this place also offers.
For the area the food is a decent quality and with good variety. They did not have an expresso machine for an after lunch expresso. We did catch happy hour which was 3-6pm so caught some cheaper drinks. The portion size was good for the mains.
The Westcoast Grill was a busy restaurant with extremely nice staff. The seafood was delicious. We had a seafood platter special with an appy of raw oysters in the evening. We enjoyed our meal so much, we went back for breakfast before checking out and got the smoked salmon eggs beni and crab cake eggs beni. The food was cooked perfectly in both the evening and in the morning. Highly recommend if you like seafood. The staff were very attentive but not overly so as to interrupt our night. I prefer to be checked in on for drinks and water but without being bothered every two minutes and I feel that had this balanced perfectly. My girlfriend and I were able to enjoy our meal and time with each other without feeling we were forgotten.
Amazing food and service here. Breakfast was good and dinner is great. The beat part though is the service. Will make a trip back and I highly recommend you eating here
