To all the people who left negative reviews: You cannot go to a small town diner like this with a suburban mindset. These people work very hard at taking care of their customers, and their food is some of the best. Yes, you will probably have to wait a little bit longer for your food. When we were here, there was only one waitress working, but she was very friendly and we had our food within 30 minutes. Please keep in mind this is a small business in a small town, this is just how things are. Anyway, the homemade pizza and pies were great! This was our first time visiting Grand Marais and we will definitely be coming back to the West Bay Diner!

The best Ruben sandwich I've ever had. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and very personable. Lots of cool stuff in the gift shop upstairs. A must-visit if you're ever in the area.

Menu on chalkboard. Prices are reasonable. I had a Farmers omlet which was tasty & it filled the plate so took leftovers with. Waiting was average & they were busy having only stools at the counter open. Bakery is wonderful. My friend had a peach pie, huge. Yummy. Cute gift shop.in upper level. Has a historical story to share set out on the table. It's stuffed with items all over to keep you busy including new & used books for sale. Free peanuts in the Shell too..

Loved this place. Great atmosphere, food made from scratch, and friendly service. Also got some fresh baked cookies straight from the oven to go.

Fantastic food!! We about tried the whole menu and specials. Nothing disappointed us. AMAZING NAKED GOODS!
