My son and I enjoyed this place. The serving size was very generous. I had the half nachos with extra cheese, and it was still too much for me. He had the Wendel burger.nnThe nachos were practically welded together. That may be due to the extra cheese, but I had to work at separating them to have reasonable sizes to eat. It came with sour cream and salsa which was delish, though the menu said guacamole. I was okay with these two sauces instead.nnThe Wendel Burger had two onion rings inside. My son had to take one out to eat, as the buyer was way too large for his mouth. He seemed to enjoy the burger.nnFinally, the house lager was quite drinkable. I'd recommend it.
Ordered the fish and chips for the hubby and I. It was amazing! I love the crunchy potato coating. Good portion size. Topped off with great homemade fries! I will definitely have this again. Very impressed!
Stopped in for a late lunch. Very impressed with how clean and organized the entire restaurant is. Service was great. Food was a bit bland for our tastes, however a little salt and pepper fixed it up. Found the prices to be much higher than similar places. $160 for 4 meals , 3 beer and an iced tea. Including 18% tip. Good to go for a quick drink, but too expensive for a family lunch.
First time visiting Wendel's. Impressive. Started with a refreshing and delicious dill pickle ceasar. We ordered appies to share and they did not disappoint. Nachos aplenty even as half order and so yummy. Wings were also delicious and flavored to your liking. Shrimp reminded me of those they served at Bonanza back in the day. Service was very good, even though they had a large table and restaurant was 75% busy, believe the manager also assisted to make sure we were all taken care of and to help the team out. I recommend you give Wendel Clarke's a try.
This was our second time here, and I ordered the Cobb salad and it was delicious…we like coming here whenever we can and we’re in the city
