We bought the Madrid bed in king size online from Wazo, and although the furniture is beautiful, I cannot recommend buying from this company. I submitted a negative review to their site a week ago and it still has not appeared. Seems that they are removing negative reviews, so I wouldn’t trust the accuracy of reviews on their site. We had several problems with our Wazo order. 1. The item shipped in two oversized cardboard boxes that smelled awful. It arrived damaged warped metal and a corner was chipped off, see photos. There is only a two-day window to contact them regarding issues with your order after it’s arrived. Since we ordered this for a move, we did not open the package immediately and missed the window. 2. The item arrived covered in dirt and dust, and the slats of the bed leaked stain. You can see in the photos, the amount of stain that rubbed off onto my fingers after just running my hand over one slat. The bottom of my mattress and sheets are stained from it now. 3. It was slightly difficult to assemble and required lots of small adjustments. Also some of the holes were not properly drilled, so we had to widen them in order to fit the bolts provided. 4. The assembled bed creaks. This could just be because it’s heavy but also it seems poorly designed as there are several problem areas where the wood rubs together, which can’t be fixed by tightening or loosening the screws. Some positives: the bed looks great and is made of quality wood. Still not worth it to me though. We’ll be keeping it as it was expensive and it’s not possible for us to return it anymore as there’s only a 14-day return window, plus you have to pay for return shipping. This is one star too many for such irresponsible company. They send you their defective tables and say the defects are part of the natural look and design of the table and guess what? As time passes your table will show cracks and chips and other imperfections that gives it a character! Does that make sense to you? Why don’t other furniture companies have this amazing feature? Because they take responsibility for defects in their products. Wazo doesn’t. Especially the Montreal branch. My husband and I bought a live edge acacia dining table and received a table that was a mixture of straight cut and live edge on one side and it also has a clear UNNATURAL mark on the top I asked a wood expert and he said the mark was a burn mark. I emailed them immediately after receiving the table and they got back to me saying the side and top defects are natural and if I want to return I’d have to pay $199+ tax. This is taking people's hard-earned money. I paid over $800 and received a table that wasn’t live edge on one side and now I have to pay $199+ to return it and have nothing. This is unacceptable. Good to know that consumer protection is not a joke and this will be reported to Better Business Bureau. Don’t buy anything from them. You’ll end up returning and paying them money. Apparently, this is a new revenue source for them. Report to BBB if they treat you like that. Update: Just called Consumer Protection Quebec and Ontario and reported this dishonest practice. They have a lot of complaints from Wazo and encouraged me to call the Competition Bureau, Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, and my credit card company as well. Please, if you have purchased something defective from Wazo and were bullied for $199 + tax for a return, please contact authorities and report them. This has got to stop.
I absolutely love my dining room table, chairs, bar stools, console and bench that I ordered from Wazo! From beginning to the end, it was a great experience. I had a tiny problem when I received my bar stools, I emailed the service department and they answered me promptly and helped me right away with it. Efficient service from Christine from the Wazo Team. I cannot wait to order more furniture from Wazo!
1st time customer, I hesitated to pull the trigger on dining chairs seeing how good furniture can be very pricey... Michel @ the showroom was a huge help finding me the quantity I was looking for and went above to locate them and make sure my order was handled. Unfortunately upon receipt of the chairs yesterday there was an issue with a couple of them, called and emailed Customer Service and I have to say the efficacy and ease of dealing with them was fabulous! I dealt with Nigel and my issue was sorted so quickly! Thank you. I will definitely purchase from Wazo again. GREAT SERVICE and I LOVE the chairs!
Had a good experience buying from Wazo, the chairs and bookshelf I ordered both look great! Although the assembly for the bookshelf was quite difficult as not all the holes were properly aligned for the bolts, it was very worth it in the end for the price and quality. Thanks to Stephany for the top notch in store customer service
I love my dinning table, bench and leather chairs. Although I have to mention that the edge of my bench was sharp and needed to be polished, therefore I asked Wazo to exchange it and it was done easily. The carrierMovemate was terrible because they left all the boxes downstairs and didn’t bring them up. I asked and mentioned that my building has an elevator, they simply refused to do so. Imagine you pay 2k, but you have to carry very heavy boxes yourself. The product is very good so as customer service Christine but carrier was terrible.
I visited the store twice to see a sofa that I liked from the website. Both times service was great, and Stephany helped us by answering all our questions. The other staff member Claire? was also helpful and friendly. We ended up buying the Bryce sectional sofa, and we are IN LOVE. Delivery to the doorstep was free, easy and very quick.
Since i have seen several people having the same issue, on other websites with this same company, I thought I'd share my very poor and less than stellar experience with Wazo Furniture, that I would absolutely NOT RECOMMEND. I ordered an Acacia Live Edge Table of over $1100 value. This was in December 2021. On May 10, 2022, I see a huge crack appear, definitely not a natural one. Out of a sudden. Nothing heavy was put on the table, I barely use it. I contacted the customer service who told me I was supposed to apply an oil to avoid cracks. Please see the pictures below. A wood specialist came to evaluate the table condition and provide advice on what could be done and told me that it seems like there was already a primary crack that was covered with glue and no amount of oil could have prevented this crack to appear. I contacted the Customer Service and they told me that I should have known to apply the oil. NO ONE, has spoken to me about an oil or any type of product required for this. I was never refered to the website, no particular indications on this, and anyway this type of crack is clearly negligence from them that should have been covered by the one-year warranty. This is a serious information that they have omitted to provide to consumers and they can't assume this is known by all. Less than 6 months of regular use and a huge crack appears like that, this is no beauty imperfections, this is negligence. Their products are gorgeous, but this is the worst service ever for a table of this amount. I also did not appreciate the way I was talked to by the manager who condescendantly said that 'everyone who buys a product of this amount should check on how to maintain it'' Well, when you buy an over $1000 item that is supposed to be high quality, you don't question if it will crack in 2 don't you? Nonetheless, as per the specialist it would have without any doubt cracked anyway since it's been **glued**You can see it on the pictures. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. The worst purchase ever. Beware of buying there, very attractive products and publicity but you can end up with a beautiful broken piece of a worth over a 1000$ with a execrable after service. Now, they did try try accomodate with a gift certificate but what do I do with this table now ? Pay an extra 500$ to have it fixed ?! This is CLEARLY a case of negligence and should have been handled by their one year warranty, BE CAREFUL. I sincerely think that after all the reviews I have read, and considering how huge this crack is, that this is a case for consumer protection.
Went into the showroom and Stephany was an absolute pleasure to work with. She explained all the different tabletop types and the whole process very clearly. I picked the table I wanted, a matching bench, and two gorgeous velvet chairs. Delivery took about two weeks and the white glove service came in, assembled all the pieces and then left with all the garbage. Couldn’t be happier with the set, highly recommended Wazo!
We have bought a variety of chairs, stools and a sofa from Wazo in the past year. All items arrived quickly and as advertised. They were also easy to assemble.
