Waterloo Kitchen and Bar

Our first visit here was definitely one to remember-- enjoyed the food and the brews! Our server Alex was super friendly and fun. This is definitely a hidden local gem in SW Calgary and a must visit. Their menu is fantastic. We look forward to future visits and to check out weekend brunch!

I don't really even know where to start. Might be the biggest hidden gem in Calgary! I'm not sure if I've eaten somewhere recently that was 5/5 stars across all food items but Waterloo hit the mark Their Fish Fry special was the star for me, but everything was top shelf. Their house made BBQ sauces may be the best I've had in this city. Do yourself a favor and check this place out, great pricing and incredible specials all week. Instant life'r here.

Excellent atmosphere! Love the live music on Fridays and Saturdays, always great bands playing. Very friendly staff and affordable prices. Highly recommended!

Nice surprise - I had no idea this pub served up good quality food. I was impressed with the BBQ meats, wings and fries. The table next to us go the Hero Dumplings - wow - the potstickers looked good. Nice surprise - I had no idea this pub served up good quality food. Really amazing place to come for a solid night out. The food is really great the the beer section is unreal. The hardest thing will be choosing what beer you want to drink, not a bad problem to have. The live music is a great addition to the positive atmosphere of this establishment. Also being west of the core means you don’t have to deal with crowds of drunken idiots at the end of the night.

This hidden gem is a great place for an unexpected menu of cured meats and non-typical foods. The duck poutine was delicious and by far one of my favourite versions of the traditional poutine. We'll definitely eat here again when in Calgary.Food: 5/5

This place is my go to spot and if you get to know the staff and the regulars they're all really great people. The owner really cares about the well being of his customers and their experience and is very engaged with people. They have one of the cleanest kitchens I've ever seen, live bands and even have a hireable food truck for events for great BBQ! The food is very flavourful and well made, they have house BBQ sauces and excellent pot stickers and wings!

Waterloo is a fantastic restaurant with very reasonable wine and food prices and great quality and service. I love a place that gives one a full bottle of water and has a feature called Wine Wednesday where one can try a new wine for a great price. The beer selection was good for the beer lovers in the group. The meat dishes are excellent too - we had the steak sandwich, the shredded pork and the braised brisket - generous portions and tasty. A very spacious place where one can enjoy a nice meal out and be appropriately distanced from others.

Our first time here and we were very impressed with our waitress, Gena, who said she'd only worked there for 2 months. She seemed to be the only server on duty in the whole room, but she kept checking on us, and was very friendly even though run off her feet. Way to go Gena! The food was average pub food. But the large, varied menu was nice.

Stopped in on a brief visit to Calgary. The food was great! I had some BBQ. Love the atmosphere. Great service and great drinks. Definitely worth checking out. Looking forward to visiting again, the next time I’m in the city.
