The culinary department at College of DuPage is amazing. Food and service was great! Highly recommend checking it out!
Very nice. It's fun to see the students learning. Food was good. Of course that depends on who is cooking because they are practicing . Great price for a great meal. I loved the bread with olives. It's cute to see the students nervousness when serving. I went again last week.
I was part of small group that got together for dinner at the Waterleaf, my first time there but certainly not the last. The food was wonderful for its simplicity and elegance. While I am no gourmet, I enjoy good food and this was fantastic! I was worried that it might be too fussy, but it was perfect! The wine was also fantastic. I was with a group of people in the wine industry and they spoke very highly of the wine and the food. Additionally, the setting was beautiful as it looks out over a fairly private pond and the decor was impeccable. The service was first rate, too!!
This student-run restaurant is a great place to experience fine dining on a budget. Dinner service is 3 night per week, and you should consider getting a reservation early in the semester August or January for your preferred dates since they fill up fast. It is a truly fabulous dining experience. Prepared to be impressed!
Yestetday my husband invited me and our two daughters for dinner at Waterleaf, since he did study at COD in the past and was aware of how great the overall campus is in many fields. We also had a 7 year old birthday girl, that challenged the chefs with a Mac&cheese request and the full experience was delightful. The food was excellent, the waitstaff, managers and the chefs were very atttentive, professional and engaging. They made us feel very welcome, even thou, coming from Chicago at rush hour made us be 20 minutes late for their 6:30pm dinner time, but we didn’t miss a thing. The food was fantastic! Tasted delicious! And by talking with the Chef he said their students planned, prepared and finalized all of the dishes! They have a beautiful kitchen that can be viewed from the entrance thru tall glass windows and they are working with great equipments! We were very happy to support the next generation of talented chefs, our birthday girl had a beautifully decorated desert at the end. I do hope that COD continuous the great work! Thank you to all of you.
Waterleaf is an great place to eat because of the chefs and servers are Cod student who is studying culinary arts and hospitality, which is giving them real world learning experience of how the restaurant business is. The menus are different weekly an for them to be student they cook like they have been doing this for a long time. I suggest more and more people should come out reserve a table and enjoy the experience.
Super high end dining experience at essentially discount rates. This is part of the college of Dupage culinary arts school. They have a small cafe in the lobby that just got a real honest to goodness La Marzocco espresso machine, so by the time school starts, they should have fantastic coffee. I Have a Bean supplies the roasted coffee.
Food was fantastic. Keep in mind everybody here is in training so the service is constantly improvingDine in: Yes
The food is regularly well prepared and flavorful, cashiers hands over excellent customer service. I like the cleanliness and character. I highly recommend this spot.
