Washington Park

If you're visiting then make sure to come to the park. There's a statue of the Lincoln douglas debate. There's also live music and just events that happen occasionally. We caught a live band. There are benches for food or games. Finally there's so much easy parking, shopping, and even a theater nearby.

My family and I came to Ottawa after our visit to Rock Falls. We ate lunch at BASH separate review and walked over to this park. We just missed the farmers market but the fountain was still a great attraction for my daughter. The statue of Abe was cool and full of character. There's enough room in the park to fit many people but didn't feel cramped.

Stopped to sit for a few with my wife after checking out the little farmers market. It's very peaceful and well kept, no garbage around the park like a lot of Chicago parks. It would be a nice location to come and read and relax on a day off after working a 50 hour week

Very cute park. The park is hosting a Christmas Market. The park was nicely decorated with lights. The shops were cute to walk around. The paths in the park were clear and easy to walk on.

Such amazing history about Douglas and Lincoln. First debate between the two of them took place here. Hard to imagine that 10k gathered around to hear their impassioned speeches. There's also a fascinating visitor's bureau held in a historic mansion across the street.

It was fun but right now meaning December has a Santa's market and the hot chocolate was a little expensive 4 dollars a small cup besides that it's a nice romantic strolle, though the park with myself lol but injoy.

Very nice park. Many benches around the park. Many historical monuments within. Shade trees provide a very nice experience.

Nice nature square block with mature shady trees, sidewalks, benches, and a beautiful center water fountain memorial.

Ottawa is absolutely beautiful! So much to do there between shopping and the unbelievably good food. Really considering moving there!

It's a nice, tranquil area to sit and look around this charming town.
