Beautiful views everywhere! The water was calm and the weather was perfect. We didn't understand the trails until we finished so we'll have to do it again properly. Even without a proper route we were following, it was still a wonderful place to see. Parking was 6 dollars for 4 hours. Restrooms: Clean and spacious Dog-friendliness: Dogs on leash only but they are welcome on all trails
We enjoyed exploring the trails here on a beautiful winter day. The trails were well marked and the snow was decently packed down. Definitely had more to explore for another visit. We also are hoping to come back in the summer to canoe and fish!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Great place to go for a hike. Nice trails that are easy to moderate. Nice views of the Ottawa River and lots of nature, like, geese, ducks, other birds, plus the occasional River Otter or turtle. Parking is now $6 but that does help maintain the facilities. There is a washroom near the parking lot and a couple of outhouses along the main causeway trial.
Great hiking trails with relaxing time at island view. Wildlife area you will see few animal. Fishing, cycling and kayaking allowed. Parking is paid Please view the video on YouTube channel for more details on this location.
Great place to go for a walk/hike - popular for dog owners. I do not recommend the rail-trail for cycling, it's very coarse loose stone, meant to be packed with snow and traversed by snowmobile...Wait timeUp to 10 min
What a gorgeous place to spend some summer days with a family and friends. Great trails, that lead you to a river where you can take a break and enjoy a beautiful scenery. Dogs are allowed. I saw some people bringing their paddle boats. We tried to fish with no success. Park has picnic tables near parking lot, where we had a lively lunch with a beautiful view. I can’t wait to go back in fall to see it all in different colors.
A wonderful conservation area on the Ottawa River just above the Chats Falls and West of Fitzroy Harbour. Rocky, hilly hike with several islands connected by bridges and great views of the rivers, Chats Falls Dam, and river vistas. There are flush toilets available at the parking lot seasonal and porta potties in the rest of the year. A couple of picnic spots available and some protected kayak/canoeing. A great place to hike and explore. Parking $6 in Jul.2021 contributes to maintenance of the area. Highly recommended!
Beautiful hike. Plenty of parking. Be prepared to pay fee. Canoe, kayak, paddle board launch available.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
A gem along Ottawa River. Well marked rocky trails are covered by dense canopy. Beautiful shoreline and dotted small/tiny Islands on the river/lagoon will give you many breathtaking view.
In the heart of the nature, beautiful trail with amazing landscape. We visited this place during summer and winter and we liked it.
