About

We welcome you to join our many talented and enthusiastic music students.

Story

www.wanderingminstrel.ca helps anyone to learn music. We teach kids, teens and adults including the absolute beginner to the advanced student. We have large teaching room and professional music equipment including two grand pianos. We carefully select professional staff who are experts, who are passionate about music and who know how to teach. Students can prepare for the RCM examinations, compete, perform or just play for fun.

Mission

The Mission of Wandering Minstrel Music School is to teach, motivate, and encourage students to understand and enjoy music, expands their creativity, and to explore all styles of music from classical, to jazz, musical theatre, opera and pop.

As a university student this school is a Godsend! It's convenient and fits nicely in my schedule! My coach is patient and easy to talk to and I have so much fun and can hear the improvement in my voice. I have learnt so much and I am still learning about my voice. I can't praise this school enough.

I was hesitant to enrol my 5-year-old son in music lessons, because several musician-friends warned me he is too young to play an instrument like the violin or the piano. He insisted he wanted to play piano, so I tried the Wandering Minstrel. I am glad I did. He loves learning music and I do not need to ask him to practice - he spends hours at the keyboard all by himself. Now he composes his own pieces (with the 5 notes he knows) and spends more time playing piano than playing iPad. The teacher is great - very experienced and able to adapt to the young age.

I strongly recommend this school to anyone who wants to excel in music or just for fun. The staff here are friendly, warm and professional. My son is taught by Richard (guitar), Stephanie (vocals) and I was blown away with the results. My son is now performing in shows and working on his first Cd. Thank you so much Wandering minstrel you guys rock!!

Very professional and heartwarming. I have never had such a wonderful school take care of me the way I am at Wandering Minstrel. Let me start off by saying that Judy is such a blessing! I am usually very strict about cancellations and appointments however I was in a point in my life where I was absolutely bombarded with school and work and would often forget I had a lesson to attend to. Well Judy took notice and made sure to call me a day before and sometimes even hours before I had a class so that I would not forget! I have been to other music schools before with a more corperate feel but I can say that you truely are cared for here. My other praise goes towards my vocal teacher Maciej - A very talented individual, Maciej takes very careful note of the style of music your voice is suited towards while also understanding your musical preference and encorperates both into your lessons. He is kind and without question musically talented and will give you as much effort as you put in. I have had cuouple of vocal teachers in the past but I have never enjoyed my learning so much as I have than with this gentleman.

My daughter has been a vocal student of Laura's for the past 2 years. We just wanted to thank Laura for all she has done to help Natasha develop her vocal skills. From introducing new song material to mastering vocal scales, all the hard work has been truly appreciated. We are very proud of all Natasha's accomplishments. I would recommend the Wandering Minstrel music school as it is a wonderful place for people of all ages to express their inner music. Thanks for the entertaining year end concerts too.
