Hey, I wanted to share my recent experience at Walmart. I'm usually all about good vibes, but this time, I was pretty bummed out by one of the employees. From the moment I walked up, they seemed totally uninterested in helping me, and when I asked a question, they were super rude and acted like I was bothering them. Honestly, it made my shopping trip way more annoying than it needed to be. I hope Walmart can look into this and make sure all their employees are treating customers with respect.
I only tend to use Walmart for certain purchases. By no means Am I a regular. I have quite a low bar for staffing there as well. I have not been in for a few months But the quality of workers was at a new low tonight. All I needed cushion for a patio seat. A fairly easy purchase that you buy out of the Walmart summer section with all the other seat cushions with a big price on the box and the price box and tagged shelf. I brought it to the first self service check out and the young person said that he was closing soon and I would have to go somewhere else. I proceeded to the other checkout. I began to scan my cushion and it came up over double what it was supposed to be. I hit the help button. The guy working the self serve just stared at the help light above me. Eventually, after a couple minutes, he very slowly wandered over. I explained that it was coming up well above what it should. He said the price is what the price is. After a long conversation of getting nowhere, I got him to remove the item. I went to customer service and explained that the code was coming up with the wrong price. She explained to me that even if the box tells you one price, you have to pay the coded price on the item. This all took a painful amount of time. I honestly have no idea why I go to a store that has staff that really really does not care about anything and has no clue what is going on around them. Walmart Vernon definitely gets the loser award.
Do not come here. The workers are very rude and racist. Me and my friends were just trying on costumes and were looking at bikes. Then, one of the workers come up too us and said she was calling security if we didn’t leave right that second. We all felt like they were targeting us based on our skin color. Do not come here the workers are rude and racist.
The greeter: EILEEN at the entrance near the fruits and vegetables, is AMAZING! She is so personable, helpful-always offers to get a cart, and always makes me laugh!. I come to WALMART VERNON just because she's there. EILEEN deserves a raise She always says Hello to everyone, answers all my questions: she really knows what's going on. She does an AWESOME job! Thank you EILEEN!
