Tl;dr: Save yourself time and dignity! Go to Walmart Metrotown!nnUPDATE: Zero Star Still! The staff at this location didn’t even know their own policy! I came here on Jun 6, 2024 for a specific item I saw on Walmart.ca sold by Walmart for $11.94. I went in, it was $14.94 in store. But I googled and read their pricing policy, it clearly stated, “For identical items purchased in a Walmart Canada store, we will match the item price advertised on Walmart.ca.” Please note that I was only buying ONE doll! The associate refused to price match, then the supervisor came and also refused based on the last restriction, “We reserve the right to limit quantities to one-per-customer, per item, per day.”nnONE-PER-CUSTOMER! I was only buying one, but she still refused to honour me their online price! I was there to buy $50+ worth of birthday gifts, card for a child. They pissed me off so I left without buying a single thing!nnThe pictures you see attached are taken at Walmart Metrotown! The supervisor there honoured me the online price without a second thought. I urge you to drive a bit longer and go to Walmart Metrotown instead!nnPrevious review:nThis location continuously gets worse and worse with their anti-theft strategies. First, they blocked off the beauty section and shoppers must either pay for the beauty products first there or come back and pay after finishing shopping. HOW INCONVENIENT! They installed a motion sensor speaker, which got activated so easily and kept saying, “Hello, blah blah blah.”nnSecond, I was trying to buy a tube of toothpaste. They locked all their Sensodyne toothpaste in a glass cabinet with no bell button installed there. However, they came to the aisle quickly because they’d probably already racially profiled me and watched me through CCTV at that point. An associate came and opened the glass cabinet. I thought I could just take it and place it in my shopping cart. NOPE! She said I could either pay first or pay at the end of my shopping at self check-out. This is a new theft prevention method to me because most stores would just hand it to you after unlocking the glass cabinet. I don’t know why they thought I was a shoplifter or couldn’t afford a tube of toothpaste.nnBy the end of my shopping experience, I was already so fed up and tired of them. At self check-out, I asked an associate for my toothpaste. Ironically, at this point, they suddenly thought I had money and kept pushing their Mastercard promotion and the BC Children’s Hospital donation to my face. Walmart, make it make sense! If you thought I couldn’t afford a tube of toothpaste, why would I suddenly have money to donate on behalf of a multi-billion-dollar company?nnSTOP RACIALLY PROFILING CUSTOMERS AND HARASSING US! It’s 2024!
WHAT A CIRCUS! 7 Employees chit chatting. No service, line ups everywhere. When i asked the employee who was watching the lineups like 1 watches paint dry to ask the employees who were chatting she just walked away. Unfortunately the Indian students are racially profiling customers. Horrid!
Why do people shop here? Friday evening & 1 girl on cash. Self serve is backed up. Prices not on sooooo many items. Poorly managed store this much is for sure. 4 workers standing around chit chatting & refusing to help with cash. When I asked the supervisor who stands behind the cash lineups doing actually nothing she ignored me. And it's like this every time I've unfortunately visited....
Best prices around. Super busy at peak times. Go extra early or around 9pm for more relaxed shopping experience.
store is discustingly dirty, floors, shelves etc. Customer Service is non existent; no pricing on clothes and can't find someone to help with that; they are either on their phones or talking to each other. Front walkway needs a good scrub, prices are hilarious now I know not entirely their fault but some of the veg is from Abby so ???. I am not an over achieverr, I just want help when I need it from someone, anyone. I will say however that the CS desk tries its best and has done a few things for me that were great. Thanks for that.
