We were impressed with the quality and quantity of the fruits and vegetables available at this Walmart superstore. Everything was stocked properly in their bins and labelled appropriately. The greens were kept fresh with a spray of water and the items which required refrigeration were kept in the cooler section or freezer. An astonishing variety of frozen meats were available and stocked in the glass door freezers. Other grocery items like bakery and biscuits and household articles were kept in their shelves in a separate section. Prices of all items were clearly marked. The only annoying thing were the self-check-out counters. They should have very few of these as it is difficult for a customer to handle his shopping as well as tally the tills. Not a good idea.
Whenever new stock comes in to WM Port Alberni they do not stock enough when it comes to clothing. PA being a small town everyone shops there. When I want clothing the sizes are gone. Also the front store toilets are filthy most times when I go in there.
Nice and clean. Staff was friendly and fast prompt service. They had great stock on a lot of their shelves. Maybe just had their shipment come in? If that was the case then good on them for getting them on the shelves fast so they are not blocking isles. Produce was fresh and stacked properly also dairy was faced correctly. I have 4 stars lack the 1 because there was a massive spill in an isle and I mentioned it to an employee that ignored my request but not the second employee. If the second employee was too ignore me I’m this would have been a 1 star no matter what else I seen at this Walmart. Keep up the good work you’re doing here it’s the nicest faced store on this island. And always listen to your customers reviews always hit the business hard.
It has almost no supply. Often times I walk up to barren shelves and leave without the items I need. They're the cheapest grocery store and that is the only reason I chose them. If any other grocery store had prices so that 4 items wasn't over $100, I'd go there instead. Unfortunately I'm too poor so I have to go to Walmart who is no doubt extracting the extra profit from someone else, like their workers.
Lots of people, didn’t see people cleaning the self serve after they where used!! Unlike Campbell river Walmart where you have to wait until your told to go to one, port alberni people just go and use them there’s a pandemic take the safety measures
This Walmart is brutal for bait&switch. As per usual they run out way too early on a loss-leader flyer item and then refuse to offer an alternative of the same product dozen eggs at the flyer price.
You can get pretty much anything you may need here ! I love it
Store good, most everything i needed was there. Don't like the self check out. If I have to do my own checking, bag my own items, I want prices to reflect that. While Walmart is cheaper on some items I want a better deal at self check out.
They only have these tiny bags right now can fit one small margarine. Been out for 3 days. So bring your own bags guys. Other than that they pretty much have their stuff together up there
