Walmart Pharmacy

I had a prescription refill that needed to be transferred from my hometown pharmacy in Ohio. I called Price Chopper pharmacy for help. I knew the process as I work on the road and periodically needed to get my prescriptions at out of town pharmacys. I knew that the pharmacy that will be filling the prescription calls the pharmacy the prescription is being transferred from to get the information. Ready with my home pharmacy phone number, I explained to the girl that answered at price chopper that I needed my refill transferred. She told me I had to call my pharmacy and have them call them. I knew this was wrong but she insisted and wouldn't take the number to call. I called my pharmacy and they reinforced the filling pharmacy needs to call them. I called Price Chopper pharmacy back and she again said they wouldn't call and that I would need to call the next day to speak to a manager...that was their policy. REALLY?? That would be the fourth phone call about my refill. I decided to call Walmart pharmacy so I could have getting my refill settled as I would be working the next day and I had had it with Price Chopper at this point. I explained what had happened to the girl that answered at Walmart. She assured me that I was correct. The filling pharmacy calls the pharmacy the prescription is being transferred from. She said she was sorry I had so much trouble, took down the name and number of my hometown pharmacy and that was that. My refill was ready the next day!! She was sympathetic, friendly, professional and accommodating! I wish I had gotten her name to give a special mention of how much she helped me and resolved what unnecessarily became a difficult issue! Many thanks to this special Walmart pharmacy employee.

They were rude and weren't very pleasant or helpful at all. Very disappointed considering we shop at Walmart almost everyday
