One of the things I love about Wal Mart is the familiarity of it wherever I go. I walked in to this Wal Mart and knew where to go to get what I was looking for. It was slightly different than my home city Wal Mart but it was very close. The differentiation is the service but even that was great at this location. I got the prices, the service and products I was familiar with. Very simple. The floor was clear of clutter and well kept and the restroom for this one was also kept-up. Great location
Grocery Pick Up is a disaster here. I waited over an hour on my order that was "ready"! I called the phone number listed on the sign and the line was busy for over 40 minutes. I then called the store operator and asked to be connected to the grocery pick up. Operator said they were having phone issues. For almost an hour, no one came out and the lanes were full with many customers waiting. I feel sorry for the poor workers. This is a billion dollar company and is not efficient or fast. They need to take some pointers from their competitor Target who has an excellent curb grocery pick up system. I will go to Target in the future for all my groceries.
I have gone to the automotive service department 3 times for routine tire work. Every time it’s double the wait time than what is initially told, and the last time I didn’t even get my service completed because all the service people were leaving at the same time. I waited for 2+ hours while being told that they were going to start on my vehicle in just a few minutes, the last 30 minutes I watched the only working tech walk around the service department in circles. When I asked for my vehicle keys back the counter attendant said he didn’t know why he wasn’t working on any of the 8+ customers vehicles that were waiting. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE, I HAVE SEEN THIS DEPARTMENT CAUSE MORE DAMAGE TO VEHICLES THAN ANYWHERE! EVERYONE IN THE ENTIRE DEPARTMENT IS COMPLETELY INEPT. A solid reflection of the Walmart way. Trash.
Stop racial profiling people with the receipt check at the end. Harassing people over an alleged bag of chips that the cashier was able to find WAS SCANNED is not a good look. DO BETTER. In the meantime don’t you dare ask me to see my receipt.
What a mess. Hadn't been in a WalMart since prior to COVID. Need Kellogg's All Bran cereal, no other grocer carries it. Stuff all over the aisles makes it difficult to navigate with those huge carts they use. Finally got a smile out of the cashier after asking her if she could smile. Next time I'll order what I need on-line.
They are lazy and liars! Prior to making the trip to their location I phone and ask if they cashed in Missouri lottery and what was the limit. I was told to go to reg. 11 and limit was 600 $ no ticket number amount was given. I followed their instructions and waited nicely I had 500$ in tickets a total of 14 tickets. As I took them out the cashier said to me very nastyly " I ain't gonna do it, I mean guess I will do a few but, that's too many" I explained it is only 500$ she said I ain't gonna do it so I said can I get someone who can she said it's me but I ain't gonna tie my line up for that. There was no one in line ....but me? She called her manager and she backed her up even though she had been the one who provided the phone information.
My review is based on the lack of checkers and the crowd itself. The people in this Walmart are rude as heck. I am trying to go down and aisle and some idiot with 15 kids are taking up the whole aisle spreading out like they're playing red Rover. They give you dirty looks when you say excuse me and very rarely say excuse me or apologize. The general public here are just horrible. Then you have the lack of REAL HUMAN CHECKERS. There's 15 employees walking around or standing around talking and on their phones. The people monitoring self checkout have probably been responsible for thousands of dollars of stolen goods. Honestly, just go to Belton.
I always hate long check out lines. You wait and wait and when you're almost there, the person who is in front of you waits until the cashier gives a grand total and only then does he/she proceed to write a check. Omg! Now I don't have that frustration with outside order pick up. You order what you need on the app. They tell you when it's ready. You pull up to the designated area. Using your app tells Wal-Mart what spot you are at. An Associate brings you stuff to you and loads it in your car. No long lines or frustrations! I have to add this one piece of very important advice. When ordering curbside pick up at your chosen location please double check that the app hadn't changed your pick up location. I had that happen to me. The app changed locations without telling me. I went to pick up my order at my local store and they didn't have it. I left thinking something is not right. Later I finally found out that the app changed my pick up site. Maybe it does it because the current store is low on something you wanted and forwards the order to another store. I'm just guessing that is what happened!
I ordered a TracFone with store delivery on a Tuesday. On Wednesday, the delivery was scheduled and then delayed. On Thursday the delivery was delayed. On Friday the delivery was delayed. I contacted customer service Friday evening and they apologized and said they'd make the delivery a priority. I got the phone on Saturday but it wasn't a valid phone I could activate. TracFone said to return it. I took it to the store to return and the phones barcode and delivery barcode didn't match, so I was told to call 1 800 Walmart. Now the phone is supposed to be picked up from my house on Tuesday. This experience is so weird and such a waste of time it's almost like a prank. I just wanted to buy a phone, not work with Walmart over a week to give one back. Am I on an episode of Seinfeld, seriously? The nice customer service people from someplace outside Kansas City were nice and helpful and gave me a gift certificate code. But the Independence and Kansas City Walmarts are horrible experiences.
Hardly saw any employees. Kinda sucks that Walmart wants all the customers to ring up their own items now since they only have 2 or 3 registers with actual people.
