I had a great weekend trip. My only concern was unlike other provincial parks, there was no map of the park available, and the check-in staff didn't really provide any information for first-timers like other parks in the province do. There was also an absurdly high amount of ticks. We saw more ticks this weekend than we have in the entire previous 5 years combined. Several great beaches, lots of very nice campsites, and a couple of lovely trails to hike on. Brought gear to do some plogging on the trails but were pleasantly surprised to find no trash in the woods. Had an extremely enjoyable time. Gave four stars instead of five because of the lack of maps and information from the staff, and because all of the wood purchased from the park store was incredibly wet.
Nice place, big camping spots, helpful crew. No alcohol on the beaches, so very family oriented. Water had some water Chestnut fruits that can hurt your feet, so bring some water shoes!Playground: YesPublic restrooms: YesOff-leash dog area: YesPicnic tables: YesBarbecue grills: No
very nice quiet place. The nature with its beach where you can barbecue is very beautiful.1 and a half hours away from Montréal. The entrance fee is a small amount. If I remember correctly, it's $22 per vehicle.
Love this campground! We live close so we go often throughout the summer. We prefer the portage sites for the extra privacy. The sites all have level ground and plenty of room. The beach and washrooms are clean and the hiking trail is the perfect length for the kids.
Beautiful camping site. To what I have experienced previously, the camping sites here are fairly spaced out from each other. Let's say 5 - 7 meters. Our camping site was located in cluster, 263 - 282 which is pretty close to a beach. It's was good enough that we never decided to go to the main beach which is nearly 4 - 5 kms from our site. It has clean washrooms and showers which seemed to be cleaned every morning. We were there the second weekend of August when the meteor shower was supposed to happen. Lucky enough to see shooting stars multiple times which was a bliss :. Also, had chance to say hi to Turkey during my morning walk exploring the beautiful nature. The only thing might need to worry about is charging your gadgets/devices. Better to carry power backup for charging. The site has central location to dump garbage so make sure to take garbage bags, so that the nature and the experience is clean. Happy camping!!!
Beautiful setting, close to the city, lovely swimming at the beaches, friendly staff, park shop is very convenient, easygoing campers, clean facilities, we had a great time here. There was noise coming from a private party across the river on one night, we claled the warden and he explained what was going on, which we appreciated.
Campsites see little to any maintenance, you have to clean up others messes and firepit. Roads have pot holes, and protrusions hitting hitches, single dumping station takes forever, and the water fill takes 20mins each. Wonder what all the expensive park fees go to... People are nice tho. Good luck. Also, the wood is expensive but you get very little and check the bags - got rotten wet wood that can't burn!
What an awesome time. Great camp site. Nice beaches. Nice trails. Very polite workers. Always feel safe at night with camp wardens. Thank you. Big shout out to the young men and women who have to clean the showers and washrooms. There are so many people camping that leave these washrooms so gross and yet the workers try so hard to keep everything nice and clean. Thank you!
The park is so magnificent and there are some kayak that you can hire 3hours for 30$ and 6h for 60$ and the reason why i gave 4 stars is because the parking was so expensive and it’s 18$ a day. But except all that the parc is so nice and you can do BBQ and there is WC
Very well maintained/clean camping area. Friendly campers! Spacious options!!
