Volkswagen does not make reliable vehicles or EVs, nor are their sales representatives; managers; dealerships 4088 Hwy 7, Unionville, ON L3R 1L4 educated in selling their own products. Once they get you to sign and secure your money, they will lie through their teeth in hopes you'll forget about it.nnI bought a 2024 ID.4 in April 2024. I owned the vehicle for about 2 weeks and had 3 electronic problems already:nn*The e-sound never worked out the door. The sales guy, Sandeep Heer from the Unionville location, told me to monitor it and still drive since it's a yellow light and not a red light.n*The GPS in the car stopped working and thinks it is somewhere else on the map, causing issues with charging at home since it won't charge at that location at the specific time.n*The data connection stopped working, so it wasn't communicating with the Car-Net app.nnAdditionally, when shopping for this vehicle, my wife and I were very particular about certain must-have features: folding side mirrors and a 360 backup camera. We were told to get the Pro AWD S version, again by Sandeep Heer from Unionville, that this model would have them. Of course, it didn't, and after numerous emails to Sandeep Heer, he told me there was nothing he could do.nnThen, speaking with his manager, Mike Ko at Unionville, he tried to make it sound like it wasn't their fault, not being accountable at all. He claimed to have spoken with VW Canada and his GM, Ramil Madarang, for a solution and tried to give us some money to make the problem go away. This is not about money; it's about accountability and honoring what we had purchased.nnTrying to get in touch with Volkswagen Canada is also a nightmare. After an initial reply asking for ownership, they have gone radio silent. Calling the contact number only gets a call center rep with no new information other than to wait and wait some more.nnThe car has been in for service for over 4 weeks, and the replacement part is still not available.nnTake your money elsewhere other than Volkswagen. Other brands I've owned and was great, Subaru, Toyota, Honda. Even consider Uber, public transit, walk. Much much less headache.nnFor Volkswagen who might actually read this, this is in regards to Ref#:06248085nnUpdate: Oct 2024nIt's been half a year since owning this car, 2 of those months was sitting at VW Unionville's lot waiting for an esound module to be delivered.nnIt's like clockwork where every two weeks the ID4 would report either the esound problem yes, it's still happening or it loses it's data and GPS location. Bringing it to the dealership resolves it temporatily, I've brought this car for servicing more than all the cars combined in my life time.nnThe last visit I brought to VW Unionville was because the car thought it was in the middle of Lake Ontario! Unionville services is dealing the best they can, I know they didn't build this car, all they've been telling me is that there are major network issues with VW which I partly understand, but it's not a final solution for me since it's causes so much grieve. eg. when it loses it's data, I can't just plug the car into charge as it's not a saved location. I can't add a new destination to set a time because there's no data so I've had to charge my car either to 100% or disconnect the car before I go to bed while charging at higher electricity rate.nnThose who need to look for me, I'm on vwidtalk forum, iheartpoutine.
Absolutely dreadful service - they don't care and will not take responsibility whatsoever. Mostly they don't even respond and hope you'll just disappear eventually. I get better service and support from small businesses online I bought a coffee cup from for $5 than VW Canada I bought a $45,000 car from, under warranty obviously. But nope, they don't care one bit. That's VW Canada for you.
I regret my decision to lease Tiguan and then getting all services done at Volkswagon service center... Now what they did I have no clue but I got EPC light n then upon checking they are telling vehicle has oil leak... tried connecting with VWcare who declined everything after taking good 2 weeks. my vehicle is still at service center as they are saying i need to either tow the vehicle or get that serviced at the same service station and are charging a hefty amount.nn*Worst experience ever*
I seriously regretted buying a VW car. The worst decision ever made, if a company cannot provide its customers parts then why even you are producing them. If you cannot stand by your customers dont fool them. Better go for different options. Tried talking to their delaerships and Customer care same thing again and again. No ETA Backorder.
Bought a 2022 Jetta in 2022. VW issued a service bulletin for the rear break pads wearing prematurely on the vehicle. I brought it in for an oil change at 42000kms and was advised that rear pads need to be replaced, but because I was 2k over km for the service bulletin VW would not be covering it and I’m responsible for the cost of the rear break pads. A few issues with thisn#1 VW acknowledges there is a problem with them for this exact issue.n#2 rear break pads should last well over 100km considering the only do about 20% of the total breaking for the vehicle.n#3 I live in a rural area and driver more than 150km a day on the highway using no breaks at all.nnVW clearing doesn’t make a reliable product and does not stand behind what they build. I’ll be looking at a different brand next time.
