My experience was pretty good actually. I drove in from Ottawa and because of the weather, was a little rattled. The staff were friendly and efficient. The fact that I don’t speak French was not an issue. My only comment comes from there not being enough direction to get to the reception area from the main floor. I was actually directed to the ninth floor for my appointment ultrasound. Someone there saw me wandering around looking for the receptionist at which point they sent me to the tenth floor where I finally found the right place. Other than that, I appreciated speedy service and the doctor was lovely.
Obtaining an appointment was very fast when I called the clinic directly. I was able to get an appointment the following day. I had originally filled the online form twice to obtain an appointment, but no one called. However it was very easy to call the clinic and book an appointment. The staff and the physician we consulted were excellent, caring and answered all our questions. The surgery , although elective, was booked within 1 week.
It was my first experience at this clinic. Following a review of my mammograms , ultrasounds and reports, the doctor suggested a biopsy that was done on the spot. Got the initial result 4 days later, and final result one week after biopsy. The doctor explained everything thoroughly and gave me my options.his demeanour was calm and he answered all my questions patiently. I have decided to follow up my surgery with him which will be done within one week or two. I highly recommend this breast clinic.
I recently went for a mammogram at VM. The technician and facilities were excellent. I then waited close to 2 hours for my results. I can understand that going to a breast center in a hospital would entail this. I do not understand that when one pays $240.00 that the wait is this long even if other clients do need to have biopsies. There ought to be more than one doctor. I do not plan to return.
I anticipate my yearly appointment but Dr. Otaky is a wonderful human being . Trust his prognosis. He is knowledgeable and will take the time to explain and answer all your questions. Excellent beside manners and has a sunny disposition. Wishing all the women positive results! Never skip your annual mammograms. It could save your life.
Very, very lucky to have this clinic in Montreal. The staff is very professional, kind and helpful. They are very well organized and seek to make patients comfortable. Best of all, Dr. Naïm Otaky is truly one of the best in his profession. A very knowledgeable, kind and reassuring doctor, it’s a comfort to have him as my physician.
I had a phone consultation with Dr.Anderson. She is wonderful! I was immediately put at ease and she answered all of my questions and concerns. I am so fortunate to have her perform my upcoming surgery. Update: Surgery went as planned. Dr.Anderson was wonderful and attentive.
I truly appreciate the services I receive at VM-Med. Everyone, including the receptionists, secretaries and technicians, has always been extremely courteous and helpful. I am currently followed by Dr. Otaky and cannot say enough about his calm demeanor, his knowledge and patience. With a family history of breast cancer, it is reassuring to know you can have a mammogram and ultrasound and get your results that same day, thereby avoiding prolonged anxiety ... priceless! Thank you so very much!
The doctor was excellent. the reception was so kind. but when I called to take an appointment, the first person answered my call was not patience to answer my questions about date and insurance and I felt uncomfortable so I didn't take appointment. The second person was good and I did it.
I had a pretty horrible experience at VM Med. I had asked to see a surgeon for a sports hernia and was given an appointment with a doctor that did not specialize in this. After my appointment I called to get a credit and they said they would credit me. They never got back to me and I had to call on 2 more separate occasions to get the credit processed. Each time they said it would be done and they did nothing. I finally stayed on the phone with someone until it was processed with me on the phone. The lady said she had never gotten to my original email. Needless to say, I won’t ever be going back there. I wastes an entire afternoon to see someone that couldn’t help me and had to fight to get my $140 credit.
