Great little spot in the Halifax Airport to grab a glass of wine and a bite to eat. I grabbed a beer and the Tuscan Chicken Sandwich. Beer was just Okay, but not great. Sandwich was very good but didn't have enough chicken on it. All-in-all this place is a good find.
A little sparse on selection and just an average establishment at the airport. The prices are definitely high, as another reviewer commented, and the service is just typical of basically any establishment at the airport. I personally would prefer to have some food and drinks at one of the other places nearby.
The wine offer is good. I would give it 0 star if I could given how despicable the waitress was. Within ten seconds of us being seated, she asked us with a certain disgraceful attitude if we had finally made our choice. She came back a little less than a minute later with the same detestable manners. She then left and ignored us for about half an hour we had to ask another waiter for the bill as she was no longer coming to our section... If dealing with the public is not her forte, there are plenty of empty lighthouses in Nova Scotia to cater to her misanthropy....
I was here a couple weeks ago. We must have waited 20 minutes before a staff member came to say we will be with you shortly. Shortly was another 10 minutes. I could see 4 empty tables. The line up behind me was at least another 3 tables worth. I could see the waitresses staring at us from the bar laughing.. When the hostess I'm assuming came to get us she immediately went back on her phone ignoring new people waiting to be seated. I could hear people beside us complaining about how long it was taking to get their bill.. There was a guy beside me who's flight was boarding in 20 minutes and he asked will it be ready for that time and the waitress said yes. It was a soup and it still took 20 minutes for it to show up. Poor guy had to ask again and again for his meal and wasn't able to even finish it. There was a table that was seated after us and they got their food before us even though they got a similar item I did. When it came out the sandwich was okay but the fries tasted like they were stale and old. I didn't even eat any. I immediately asked for my bill and it still took a while to get. My advice to the staff/managers is make sure you acknowledge your customers and because you are in the airport you should be more accurate when it comes to food times.. I would not go back here again, nor would I recommend this restaurant.
The sandwiches on board are larger and half-ish the price. Beer was $9 for a bottle. Not a pint, a 341ml bottle. Sure, inflated airport prices and all that, but come on now. Popcorn was tasty. Service: yeah, they come to your table.
Great for wine tasting and a quick light bite. The price is what you would expect at an airport. Don't go here if you're hungry, but definately stop by if you want to enjoy a glass of wine.
Very tasty. I had the smoked salmon roles & the truffles popcorn. Be sure to try the Tour of France wine tasting.
Bad wine not acknowledged, belligerent waitress. NOT recommended at all.
